Reaction of Overseas Pakistani after listening PM Imran Khan Address To Nation ..

My sentiments exactly. However we can do much for Pakistan. Like a poster said we can act as lobby for pakistan. And of course make sure we send or invest as much money as possible in Pakistan. Also always buy Pakistani products when available.

I have studied over seas and I know what the feeling is being so away from home. I see many here on pdf just to keep their connection with their country alive.

Yes it's kind of tragic. You got to understand some of us are now reaching third generation with kids who are fourth generation. As @313ghazi said we are now significantly removed by time and space from Pakistan. In my case all my near relations are in UK. The family left in Pakistan is getting more distant as we move forward. It's like branches on the tree as they grow they drift apart. In another generation the gap will get even bigger but my heart always will beat to Pakistani tune so will my children. Even as we are comfortable with our British identity.

Few years ago I was on holiday in Galway, Ireland. I saw coaches full of Irish Americans walking about and exploring the town. Their ancestors in some cases 150 years ago had left their homeland. And there they were the great, great, great grandchildren visting their ancestral lands. I hope our generations keep this alive and I dearly hope Pakistan never forgets the sons/daughters who left long time ago and their offspring.

Irish Americans even today celebrate St.Patricks day in New York.

WELCOME GUYS I WILL SUGGEST A SAFE CITY FOR YOU ALL. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I was born here in N. America and my family has been here since the 1960s. I can't read or write Urdu or even count in Urdu beyond 10. But here I come.

CPEC + Imran Khan = transformational change.

Time to work on that Urdu. Make sure to talk to your kids in Urdu, Punjabi, Pukhto, whichever language you speak.

I would suggest Islamic lectures and poetry to improve your Urdu.

I was always fluent in Urdu and Punjabi, because my parents didn't let me speak English at home, lol. Also being involved with Tableegh and generally befriending recent immigrants, students from Pakistan beyond university life helped me not only improve Urdu, but improve my Hindko and Pukhto.

I'm also a professional and wanting to shift back to Pakistan like the video in OP. Originally I'm from the Faisalabad and Lahore area.

Since Trump got elected, many of us medical, engineering, law professionals in the Pakistani community have considered moving back. It is difficult to raise children here and the society is becoming difficult to live in, day to day.

I'd love to move back. I speak English, prefer the cold and I love my life in the UK, but my heart yearns to live in Pakistan.

I want a country where I can earn a halal living and be able to afford a house and a car, have access to good health care and for education for my children, be able to rely on law enforcement to keep me safe and be sure that my children can have a fair chance of the same opportunity. The day we can have that in Pakistan, I will come back. I'll even learn urdu.

Learn Urdu now and start preparing yourself. When Allah swt deemed it for you, you will see a way in sha Allah.

Really? I mean really? They want to get out of 2nd rate citizen status by taking advantage of Imran Khan new found love for overseas Pakistanis? We need your remittances/aid not you, have enough people in Pakistan to do the job.

I have studied over seas and I know what the feeling is being so away from home. I see many here on pdf just to keep their connection with their country alive.

There is nothing like living with your own as first rate citizen. This is why I always facepaml at rich Pakistanis moving out to live as 2nd rate citizen in best case scenario. I can understand poor people but not rich.

Whoever is pulling the strings of puppet Imran Khan, has a great sense of humour. I wish I could watch this entertainment.

Child abuse in Pakistan is nothing but media hoax. Wasting time and effort over something nonexistent is a diversionary tactic. Hope his handlers show more jokes hidden up their sleeves.

@Reichsmarschall @Indus Pakistan @Taimur Khurram @Thorough Pro @Super Falcon @Areesh @Retired Troll @Men in Green @PaklovesTurkiye @Jaanbaz @BHarwana @Menace2Society @naveedullahkhankhattak

:omghaha: Idk but your sense of humor is strange considering you call Child abuse in Pakistan a 'Hoax' and worst of all... call a guy like Imran khan a puppet. Honestly it shows your total understanding of Pakistani politics.

I have been meaning to open a new thread about this, but mabe I should ask here.

How does one invest if you are just a middle person from the west with some money lying around?

We will be moving back as soon as the new structure starts shaping up, specifically the e-Government and Environment. Social Housing Construction and Civil Service experience in project management and implementing systems - if that kind of skill would benefit Pakistan.

Depends on what you want to invest in? You can open a USD account in Pakistan and wire the funds. Then decide what you want to do.

The best way to invest is index funds in the stock market.
Pakistan needs to get a low fees index fund going so people can invest.

I'm not in favour of investing in stocks unless it is for the long run. Short term and spot trading are a big No for me.

Rather go buy land, if staying overseas.

yeah, the idea is that stocks will be for 20-30 years investment.

Now here is the thing, I have lived in Korea and Thailand and it's very clear that people who were on the ground floor when those countires started to prosper are now super rich.

I want to be that guy, just don't know how to do it.

There is a stock market mafia in Pakistan and I would not invest in stocks until those big players are behind bars and new legislations introduced. And these lot won't go down without a fight so expect major fluctuations. A lot of banks will get done for money laundering as well.

Invest in Food industry stocks. It is usually safe to invest in this industry - people will continue to eat.
