Not possible. If yemen is divided, Saudis will demand partition of Iraq and Syria as well which will not be acceptable to Turkey or Iran especially to Iran.

i do believe it will not be a good idea because Iran will root itself deep in North yemen (where other shia will welcome them and the GCC can say goodbye to any peace in the area. Imagine the damage Iran is doing from across the gulf , imagine the destruction Iran will cause if sets camp in Yemen for good

GCC has such a unfounded phobia about Iran..but I agree that to fundamentally resolve the conflict in this whole area requires the resolution of two major issues between the GCC and Iran:

1- Presence of Foreign forces invited by the GCC to the area (that is Iranian side complain)

2- Iranian presence in what GCC considers their backyard.( that is GCC side complain)

I do not think that GCC can un-invite those foreign forces from the area ..no they will not leave even if you ask them..and they will sabotage any effort by either GCC or Iran to resolve the above two issues...we have seen it again and again..as soon some third party peace maker makes progress some event is created to sabotage the re-approachment...
