Ratan Tata may be suffering from
delusion: Amit Mitra

West Bengal Finance Minister Amit
Mitra on Thursday countered Ratan
Tata’s remarks on lack of
industrialisation in the State saying
he may be suffering from delusion
and that was why he made such
comments.
“Tata is getting old and suffering
from delusion. I do not know why he
cannot understand about what is
happening,” Mr. Mitra told reporters
on the sidelines of a CII seminar in
Kolkata.
Chairman emeritus of Tata Sons
Ratan Tata remarked on Wednesday
“there are no signs of industrial
development in West Bengal” at an
interactive session organised by
Ladies Study Group of Indian
Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Mitra said that Tata group firm
TCS was creating additional 20,000
jobs here, while Anil Ambani group,
Emami were both setting up cement
plants in the State.
“Recently, another Tata group firm
Tata Metaliks had written to the
State seeking expansion of their
existing unit,” he said.
“Is he not update with the
information and why is his own
office not briefing him correctly,” Mr.
Mitra said.
“He has the hobby of flying planes
and let him fly,” he said

. . . .
Bengal has become a stinkhole especially because of the idiots and the illegal bangladeshi and their supporters in the govt there..

.
Bengal's problem is evident in this reaction. If the minister disagrees with Tata, he should have gently countered it, not go after Tata personally. Only bad press will result from this but hey, this is the party whose members have made even crazier remarks........

West Bengal is just a conduit, a smart pole vaulter wont stay there. Most end up in Delhi, Mumbai or Hyd

A man of the STATURE of Mr. Ratan Tata with no Political affiliation would have never made such a statement to score some cheap Brownie Points.

There is OFCOURSE some solid proof of what he said.

No new industries coming to bengal, major industries closing down, trade unions creating menace with life of common public, political leaders in petty cheat fund scams, police becoming minister's slave, infrastructure developments at its lowest, rapes, political murders...... Living in kolkata, I can only pity at the state's future

Singur fiasco was a clear cut indication that when Mamata will come to power (which became quite obvious already then) there will be regressive drift against heavy industrialization. What more unfortunate is ministers like Amit Mitra too are speaking in an intolerant tone just as to follow his more intolerant leader. Their four years regime is nothing but a reminder of 70's Bengal when everything seemed to be halted and murky. I have stopped reading local news because of these bigots.

Mamata, Nitish aur Mulayam ko jo kar dega Tabah........Uss bande ka naam hai Amit Shah!!! :enjoy:
Hope so. But I see myself as an ideological bigot too. The way BJP is recruiting it's cadres I don't have much hope actually. They came to my locality, called discontented TMC workers (who are known goons) to join their party. I hope and I do hope honestly that BJP does not get contaminated just like TMC did in 2010. But at the end of the day, I too live in my own stupid world.
