Yes, you are right. Maybe they were afraid that the superior skill of the pilots who fly Sukhois and MIGs would overwhelm the American pilots. That is what happened in Red Flag 2008. The Sukhois had to end up fighting and killing each other because the American pilots, in their lowly F-16s, were too easy a target.
Maybe they should have simulted dogfights with Jaguars too. Or maybe the new 17th generation trainer, HAL HJT Sitara.
I beg to differ on this. There are controversies regarding Red Flag exercise. It was a set up by USAF so that Congress gives more funds to F-22 and so that they are procured faster.
Moreover I heard F-16s fought with Bisons in 1:4 ratio, which is very difficult for dog fights.Personally I think Su-30MKI are better fighters than F-16s,may be some will agree with me on this. But Raptors are better than everything else so far.
It would be unfair not to give credit to US pilots. They definitely has Better training than almost all the Air-forces in the world.
can you provide prove of this cus i for one would love to see how the F22 can take on a f-16.
