Thanks for all the pictures. They are all from Eastern or Central China. I will post a few pictures of small cities in Xinjiang Uighur area, I bet a lot, or maybe most Chinese probably never heard of these cities. They are small cities that are not as glamourous, but more enviornment friendly:

It is a general misnormer to slam China for not acting environmental friendly. The city governments are trying hard but for cities which hold poplulation of 3 to over 10 millions, the tasks are humongous! They need to build a lot of re-cycling plants, incinerators, waste disposal facilities which could help alleviate the immense pressure brought forth with fast speed urbanization.

In terms of industrialization and urbanization, Xinjiang is behind. They may keep it as pristine as it is now or better prepared to upgrade their above said facilities when they want them to develop like the model of coastal cities

Xinjiang is not that behind. As a matter of fact, Karmay is #1 or #2 in term of per capita GDP in China. Not every city needs as much as high buildings as those in coastal areas. These cities are not as populated. I hope they just keep it in that way. I hate if every cities look the same.
