Actually Rangers arrested in Pak is shocking news!! oops they caught on cam

And they pardoned by president is expected in Islamic republic.

.
Question isn't if he could do it but did he try to snatch weapon? Looks like he did and was shot, another MQM ghunda dead. Good for Karachi and Pakistan. I remember Karachi of back then and now, night and day difference.

Let me say this again, at the cost of repetition, this guy made no attempt to snatch any weapon from anyone. All he tried to do, which is evident from the video, is that he attempted to lower the nozzle of the weapon from pointing at his face to the ground.

And there is not a shred of evidence that he was affiliated with MQM, or a ghunda at that.

Ranger's didn't shoot him for personal reasons. 2011 was the time when 100 bodies used to afloat everyday in Karachi and Rangers were too strict and allowed to manage situations when necessary.

Let's not get carried away. In a city of 30 million, frequency of murders is more.

Bro stay out of our internal matter, Stay in ur limits. I have so many links n videos regarding ur Jawan attempted Rape etc etc etc.

.
We can deflect blame forever but it won't change the fact this guy was killed. It was unfortunate circumstances but I don't think it's fair to call it murder.

1. He was arrested as a suspected political hitman and therefore considered dangerous.

2. He didn't follow instructions.

3. He reached for the gun and quickly approached towards the rangers, hands outstretched and on the guys firearm.

Anywhere else in the world this would be a legit police shooting and not be a criminal case.

There should be some disciplinary issues though.

1. Why was the ranger so close.
2. Why did the rest of them not tackle the man.
3. Was he given prompt medical treatment.?

These are questions you could ask of a police officer, not sure they apply to a soldier - policing is not thier remit and certainly wasn't all those years ago.

The way people's eyes show them situations as they want to see them and the way their minds analyse them is just amazing. In your mind, with which a massive majority of Pakistanis does not agree, this 5 foot joker who was detained by a single guard of the park (in plain clothes) and brought over to be handed to Rangers troopers was 'suspected political hitman' and therefore dangerous. So in the 5-10 minutes in which the Park Guard detained this guy, he was suspected to be a political hitman.......fine analysis!!

Look. For the safety of your own life, NEVER try to lower the muzzle of an officer's weapon.

They say, a rose by any other name is just as beautiful. Well, weapon snatching by any other name will still get you a bullet through the head.

.
All you lefties i dare you to go try and grab a gun of a UK police officer or American police officer, infact any police officer here in Europe and see how many bullets they put in your brain.

Go try to touch a rangers gun again in 2018 and i bet you they will but another 3 bullets in your body.

touching the gun of armed security official is to be taken as a terrorist trying to grab a gun from an armed officer. you have no other option but to terminate the individual.

Dont ever touch a gun of a security personal without his permission.

Before any of the 'lefties' and not the 'leftists' answer your post, can you give us a single SOP where Police Officers in UK or USA etc., are instruction to point their assault rifles point blank at someone's face????? especially when that someone is out manned, outnumbered and unarmed?????

Fail to answer that and its case closed!!!

This has simply happened because the law enforcement personnel are not from. the same cultural, ethnic, linguistic background as the locals.

similar incidents happen in

a. india where many leas in NE region. have been alleged to. be insensitive to locals
b. in usa dense black populated hoods are also patrolled by white policemen and lesser black representation

similarly mohajirs/urdu speaking have very less representation in armed forces and LEAs. (even altaf hussains alleged final straw for creating apmso was denial. into army just because of ethnic backgrnd)

happens everywhere.. but leads to. intensified local sentiments against centralising tendencies

Insensitive to locals and different cultures, ok I can live with that. But insensitive to humanity???

Because those police officers dont carry guns so they couldnt have shot him even if he stabbed them with a knife, i know exactly which video you are talking about. That man was a registered mental panteient and the police knew there isn't even any point tassering him because he is mentally unwell.

Go grab a gun of a armed police officer here in the UK you won't live to tell the tale.

PS this MQM member that got shot was an armed robber who had ben caught stealing phones then he thought it was a good idea grabbing a government officers gun. at that moment its killed or be killed i would have put 10 bullets in his head and would do it over and over again.

In pakistan recently even if you take a picture of an armed official without their permission they will come take your phone either delete it or break your phone, so imagine what they will do to you if they try to grab your gun.

So, basically, if I understand your correctly, this random teenager who went to a park, probably for some poondi, was actually a deep undercover MQM member and so by extension a professional hitman. He was at the park to locate fertile land where MQM could bury 10 TT Pistols for the Rangers to uncover 100 AK-47's, 30,000 rounds, 50 RPG's, 30 Sniper Rifles and 200 Hand Grenades 2 months down the line.

In addition to the above, this hitman was also a suicide terrorist and it was his job to get arrested, by an unarmed Park Guard no less, to be dragged by this guard all alone all the way to the Rangers position whereby he was to snatch an assault weapon from a trained Rangers trooper, which surrounded by 5-6 Rangers personnel, using some extreme Kung Fu move by holding onto the nozzle of the extended assault rifle...........but then he slipped on a stealth banana skin which the Rangers personnel had craftily deployed and was shot.

Hmm.....yeah that makes a whole lot of sense, especially in the context of Karachi operation!

Look. For the safety of your own life, NEVER try to lower the muzzle of an officer's weapon.

They say, a rose by any other name is just as beautiful. Well, weapon snatching by any other name will still get you a bullet through the head.

I am not only thoroughly educated, but also thoroughly trained.

If I was in the position of the Rangers trooper, I would never ever have pointed my assault weapon at that unarmed kid.

And in a situation where I had to point my assault rifle at someone who tries to snatch it, I would have pulled my weapon back firmly and would have hit him with the butt. Remember, it is not easy to snatch a rifle through its nozzle alone especially when it is being held by a professional with balance of grip.

Let's not get carried away. In a city of 30 million, frequency of murders is more.

Its not a matter of opinions. What is the population of Karachi these days? What is the number of people killed in this day and this month? How many target killings happened in the last 12 months and previous years?

You cannot expect surgery without cuts. You do not fight a war which has no collateral damage. Rangers here made a mistake and have taken a life which should not have been lost - but looking at the situation and sensitivity of the time, we all must forgive them - yet remove them from their positions for life.

Government here should move forward and stand with both sides. It is their job which is missing from this discussion.

.
Sindh Rangers should be disbanded and reformed. The biggest bunch of crooks and mafia in Karachi. Not surprised by this decision, it's not the first time these guys have gotten away with killing unarmed Karachites.

sit back down please, your case just got closed and thrown out of the court.

Pakistan rangers Zindabad put a dozen rounds in anyone head who touches your gun.
@Mav3rick you really must been like a moron now. educate yourself

we support Pak rangers in this justified killing of a civilian trying to snatch a gun out of a government servants hand there to protect innocents.

I think it's a good move.

If the same "victim" was presented infront of the U.S police, they would've done the same thing.

He was a robber with a fake gun (rangers did not know) who was turned into them by someone he was trying to rob. Instead of freezing and waiting for a ranger to check him, he kept on trying to reach for his "fake gun" or the ranger's rifle. Also please keep in mind that around this time, the number of terrorist attacks and targeted killings against Rangers was really high and hence why they were always in a heightened state of alert and over-caution.

This is surely a fake guy. If he was really a thug or mugger. There would've been easily proved in court. Rangers couldn't even find the individual he was trying to mug? Not even a single eyewitness? People are totally crazy.
In the video (uncut version), you could see him being turn over by the people he was trying to rob.

If it wasnt for the Rangers, Karachi would've been a warzone today. You don't live in Karachi and hence you don't know the ground realities.

In the US, if this was to happen and you kept trying to reach for the gun or your pocket; you would've been shot.

The only ground reality I am concerned with at the moment is the getting away with shooting an unarmed civilian, regardless of whether he was a thief or a robber. Because if this is a society we want to go for, where security forces can gun down civilians with impunity without due process of justice, then we are well on the way to there.

And please, don't tell me about ground realities in Karachi, I was there when young kids were being shot up in fake encounters during the 90s.

I asked for SOP's and you posted videos. That too from incidents that would have ended up in court because they were all anti SOP, unprofessional and racially motivated. Basically, you just proved me correct but with your level of intellect and intelligence, you just aren't able to grasp it.

Let me see you justify killing when the Rangers kill your brother, father or son. Let me see how justified it will be then. Because they too will be affiliated with MQM, made to be target killers and assassins and so their execution too would be justified and murderers pardoned, that is if they are unlucky enough to be filmed in the act. But be assured, I would be there to defend your rights, because that's just me.

I think it's a good move.

By God, sometimes I wonder if some of you are seriously retarded!! and that is not an insult, I swear. I mean no disrespect to any one. It is because of your post. NO ONE SAID THAT HE WAS ARMED!! The kid kept begging to be let go. For the love of God watch the video, try to understand it and then post something. Since you have not understood the video, let me explain:

The Park's Guard brings a youth to Rangers Team of 5-7, he brings that youth holding him by his neck all alone. This guard then hands over the youth to the Rangers, he also hands over a toy gun and says that he got the toy gun off this youth. One of the Rangers Troopers, instead of handcuffing the youth or arresting him, points his automatic assault rifle point blank at the face of this youth. I will stop here.

I will stop and ask you, all of you, have you ever had any of your brothers/cousins point an airgun at your face? Your first reaction is to lower the nozzle of the gun away from your face. This is precisely what this youth did, bad mistake but nothing that a team of trained and heavily armed Rangers Troopers could not handle. However, what the Rangers trooper does is shoot this guy, twice.......and then he let him bleed to death. The other troopers did nothing. It was bad luck, bad luck to the Rangers as all this incident was caught on Camera, otherwise the story would have been 'MQM hitman killed in encounter with Rangers'.

P.S. This youth had no affiliation with any political party, let alone MQM.

The problem is that people from outside of Karachi, having been fed propaganda all their lives, somehow think they know Karachi better than us Karachiites and that they somehow hold benefits of Karachi above even those of us Karachiites.

Sarfaraz Shah killing: President House officials deny reports of pardoning Rangers men

A screengrab from the video circulated on social media after the incident in 2011.

ISLAMABAD: Officials of the President House have rejected media reports saying President Mamnoon Hussain has granted pardon to Rangers personnel sentenced to life imprisonment for involvement in the June 2011 killing of a citizen inside a public park in Karachi.

The case had drawn public outrage after a video of the June 8, 2011 incident went viral on social media, showing the 22-year-old victim Sarfraz Shah lying in a pool of blood after being shot by Rangers personnel at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park in the city's upscale Clifton area.

Earlier this week, a local news outlet quoting sources in the Sindh Home Department had reported that President Mamnoon Hussain in exercise of his powers under Article 45 of the Constitution had granted pardon to the convicted men.

But officials on Monday rejected the media reports, saying the President House has not received any such summary.

Saalik Shah, brother of the victim, said his family has only heard media reports but has not received any official confirmation or denial.

"We did not receive any confirmation or denial of reports of the alleged presidential pardon. Nobody has informed us officially as yet," Shah told Geo.tv.

He said that the five convicted men were currently serving their sentences at the Central Jail in Karachi.
