Sorry to hear that sir, but then sir if indeed your car was snatched by Afghans and your house robbed by Pukhtoons.. Would it be fair to blame Pakistani Pukhtoon community for this or would you not agree that harsher checks and balances need to be enforced on the Afghani refugee community in the metropolis?

The MQM was initially a sole representatives of the "mohajir's(who are now actually all dead or about to die now)"..
It evolved into a personal tool for Mr Hussain..
but as recent events have proven.. it has done its part for karachi's improvement..
should that excuse it from being held accountable for killings..no..
But to condemn it all together.. I detest.
Then.. there is the ANP.. which as a political party.. has achived nothing for the city of karachi..nor Peshawar..for that matter..
I too was hopeful there would be massive improvements in Peshawar after their takeover..but apart from a messy name change of the province..they have done nothing..and this testimony I get from my friends in peshawar,nowshera,charsadda,abbotabad and an afghani who comes and goes from peshawar to Kabul.
yet.. it seemingly endears them to all pukhtoon's??..as a stand against other ethinic groups?? why?..is that all political parties should be reduced to??.. just to hold their respective ethinic origins high?
is the PPP only held in esteem because it represents Sindhi's?..or the PML(the multiple flavours of it) held up due to their punjabism?
In this way..
I should stop supporting PML..and join the MQM....My friends should abhor me and support ANP....(wonder what the JUI get?)...my uncle should stop being a diehard Jiyala and support the MQM..etc.

Pukhtoons who so vehemently condemn the Taliban in KP dont seem to care when my schoolmate was kidnapped by TTP elements near Gadap in sindh..after he mistakenly went there with his driver testing his new car.
handed his father a note about his violation of Islamic law...
When the SHO of that area gives the straight report that the man behind this related to the ANP representative for the Malir area..and is actually a kidnapping group from FATA.
Eventually a ransom of 3 million was paid for his return...
yet no condemnation from the ANP who so easily make such statements for those in KP..
Does the MQM not indulge in such practices??.. by far and large they do...but at least one can be fair and condemn both..rather then act the "bheegi billi"..and for no reason?..unless they support the ANP?

As far as the business community is concerned..
I spent half my childhood sitting in a auto parts shop in Saddar.. and knew when and who came for bhatta..the MQM had an even more sinister name for that back in the 90's..it was called "mehmandari"..

Throughout my time in Karachi.. I saw more Sindhi-"mohajir" tensions than any Pukhtoon related ones..
Just recently new writings have appeared on walls..
"karachi hamara hai".. from punjabi students something..
somebody should tell em..
If Karachi truly is yours.. STOP RUINING IT AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING FOR IT

If anyone deserved credit for the MQM's image improvement in Karachi..its this man..
All those who know him..are witness to his efforts..and validate them as being actual efforts rather than a "face" for other's achievements.
However..this also has had the effect that his man.. relatively a small fry in MQM internal politics..has gained a lot of support and now a major player in 90...
He is shrewd..
His ambitions are beyond Altaf pai's himself..and some say he is in the race to edge out Dr Farooq for the top slot in case the fat toad in london kicks the bucket.
This website was launched after being inspired by initiative's of other inspiring city leaders.
However..as an actual tool..this website may have given him some press and a little shoulder rubbing with the rich and privileged of Karachi..
