Thanks! You seem to be familiar with process, is this process of " oath on Quran " private or public ?

If it is public than do they allow making video of this process [ side note here: I have viewed video of Populzai Saheb so think making video is not haram for them while some do consider it haram ] ?

If they allow video making are there any video on-line ? If any one knows please share the link.

Now my real question, the person taking "oath on Quran" do we know his address [ general location ] on Google Map so we would know where moon was sighted?

While taking the " oath on Quran " do they ask / check general reputation of the person from his/her neighbour's?

In this age of communications and selfie craze how difficult it would be to not find a single selfie with new moon based upon which Populzai Saheb declared sighting of moon? I tried to search but could not find any may be not looking at proper place or using wrong terms. Any help ?

Leave aside the current what about past, are there photo + address of past witnesses available? It would be simple to request comments/feed back from people this will tell us how robust system is.

Hope you could find time to help me find answers or direct me to source who can help.

I am 100% in agreement with you Moon sighting is individual responsibility and for local community. Govt should do away with this Ruet-Hilal thing, ask its met department to announce moon sighting for Official purposes [ vacations etc ] let people pray when they want Government has no business to tell them when they should do this.

All these cries for local empowerment then why surrendering what Allah and his Prophet [ PBUH ] has given to local community? If local Government is not harmful for national unity then how come the right granted by all knowing Allah could be.

First of all Islam does not declare any Modern Technology as haram rather Quran at many places asks Human to research and find out the truth about the universe and Allah's creations.

Now the only thing that is declared haram is misuse of such technology or any technology that harms the society at large.

Very nice, declared me a be-nimazi without even meeting or knowing me, maybe if u focused a little more on actual nimaz with intent rather than advertising ur piety n ur fajr prayer here on this forum u would've a better understanding of things.... sects have been formed on more trivial things than this historically, maybe u should get that into ur head before mouthing off huh....now stop pestering me and go shout to ur whole community about how u got up to pray fajr.....

Piety is not the focus here prayer is a farz/fard you like it or not. mentioning fujr was just for your information so that if you post your comment you may wait for my response.

Now as far as declaring you benimazi it was not aimed at your individual person rather it was a collective term since mostly people have no clue about Muslim months and regular obligations but when it comes to Ramazan they behave as if it is matter of their life and death if they fast a day earlier that TOO according to sharia.

Give me one logical or even scientific reason which could say that a country with different time Zones cannot witness moon sighting on different timing?
