They were quick to jump to show a piece of a AIM-120 as cardinal proof of a F-16 shot down but can’t seem to show what should be a truckload of wreckage??

First of all wrong thread to confirm some Indian public boasting news. Furthermore, could have been weather balloons but, it is up-to the claiming side to prove with evidence. It is understood that such target wouldn't fly back to Pakistan side that Indians couldn't find any debris and confirm.

Why are you making it sound sexy by saying HALF A DOZEN? You can say SIX. Most of them must be quadcopters. Almost everyone in Pakistan seems to have them nowadays. So, it's not necessary that IAF shot down a military drone, but instead some poor kids toy.

Pakistan is sending in low-end remote control planes to confuse and harass the Indian defenses and keeping IAF on its toes. In other words IAF might be wasting a quarter million dollar missile to shot down an RC plane worth a couple of hundred dollars.

Quadcopter doesn’t have the same radar signature but RC planes can be modified to replicate a real aircraft signature. A number of small Pakistan companies are working on such drones. I was told for the expendable drones, they are using modified local 70 cc motorcycle engines.
