1. EP-20( freight)
made with technical collaboration with alstom
Capable of hauling 18 coaches at 200km/hr
Here's the Alstom Prima from Sri Lanka. Dubbed M-9, the worst engine used by the Sri Lankan Railways. There was a huge scam behind this M-9 deal. However only 2 is running out of the 10 bought. Even these 2 are using locally modified equipment rather than Alstom approved ones.

M-8 and M-10 are Made in India and exported to Sri Lanka.
M-8 is WDM-2 while M-10 is WDM-3.
Sri Lanka Railways S11 DMU made and manufacured by Integral Coach Factory of India.
Although M-8 and M-10 are both good engines. The new S-11 power-set hasn't caught major public attention as a reliable set. This may have caused by the fact that this set failed in it's first run from Matara to Colombo and the fatal accident it faced. The general public don't know the exact reason for the accident but many says it was due to the faulty brake system. Though the blame when to the driver and the signals unit.
No it's not a world heritage site. Just a regular rail line. Sri Lanka use broad gauge 5' 6".
