Rahul Gandhi is/was a joke until recently. But better late than never, he seems to have now started learning about India. Hopefully he will learn and mature rapidly. We need a stable objective opposition vice. However capable Modi and his govt is, without a strong opposition the risks can be high.

BUT he (Rahul) MUST openly address the facts of the criminal case against him and his family (National Herald asset grab) to merit any consideration.

True as it were but Rahul is not a good public speaker. I fall asleep if I have to hear him for more than a few minutes. Modi is a poor speaker but when the competition is a slow kid like Rahul then he automatically becomes P. T. Usha.

There are no good orators in India. To be a good orator you need to be of good conscience and confident of what you stand for. Our politicians are hollow, dishonest crooks. That is why they either read from scripts or fumble when they are speaking without one.

Public speaking is an important trait for a political leader but not the sole trait to decide the competence of one. A lot of naive people get carried away by slick speakers who turn out to be poor administrators.
Rahul is a pathetic thinker too. His ideas even on very basic concepts of governance are totally awry. On top of that he speaks poorly. Unless god decides some miracle, his days are going to be spent taking the Congress downhill. Unless Pakistan is happy to adopt him on OP’s advise.
