Raheel Sharif's conditions to head coalition accepted by Saudi Arabia

Does not this rule apply to every nation on earth ?

How is that not terrorism or is it only terrorism when American govt/citizens lives are threatend ?

Remember Bahrain? Those terrorists had to be put down by ex-Pakistani soldiers with an invasion of Saudi, Qatari, & UAE troops.

Libyan People: "We don't like Qaddafi we want more political freedom."

Qaddafi:"These people are terrorists supported by Zionists and Infidels, shoot them all." (Same story in Syria, et al.)

This is a big bluff as Pakistan does not enjoy any leverage on Saudi to pressure an opinion on Iran....Iran will not be added t to the collation..end of all conspiracy theories...

.
Iraq today is in the state it is because of the foolishness of Saddam
Please at least give Uncle sam its due credit. Iraq was a well established peaceful country before US invasion based on "wrong intel". Also the ethnic and sectarian fault lines were drawn way before Saddam by the Britishers.

.
All decent and respectable demands. This should put to rest the concerns of Shias particularly in Pakistan to rest. But this should not come to this. All must understand when it comes to national interests.

Without Iran you won't see millimetre of progress toward peace, rest assured. Not including Iran is like having a peace alliance in Afghanistan without Taliban. Your actually excluding one major party to the conflict.

And if you think Iran can be defeated in Syria or Yeman you have really don't understand the lay of the land. in case you did not hear this, Russia's Putin are backing up Iran with might of the Russian Military. Check out what the Russians are doing in Syria. Russian jets are using Iranian airfields for pit stops.

Don't include Iran is in fact placing the alliance in opposition to Russia/Iran. Who you going to call to counterwieght the Russians? Israel or USA?

Saudi is a very big power in GCC...Iran is like 20% of Saudi..they can blabber a lot..but very little substance...other than sponsoring Hezbollah and Houti terrorists!

RS Sir in full swing. Valid points though as said. Seems like someone's Arab Spring campaign and another's extremism propaganda, both are close to meet their fate very soon In'Sha'ALLAH. It is going to solve many problems among Muslim Nations but also, going to help filter friend and foe. The alliance was never anti-Iran or any country but against terrorism only as well as those groups maligning Islam through fake Muslim Fighters and causing extremism.

there is no coalition and there isn't GONNA be a coalition under ksa's leadership (and rightly so).

Don't be a idiot. They were drawn by history. If it is so easy to draw fault lines why not try to draw some in Britain/USA or the Europe?

Weakness begins at home. A family has to have weakness for outsiders to be use. You have to give them the handle to grab. No handle. No grab !

Ever seen the West give handle to outsiders? Back in 1990s during the Bosnian War lots of Muslims went running to help the Bosian Muslims. After the war USA/West collected all the outsiders and kicked them all out. Afterwards they made sure to 'cleanse' Bosnia of any outside influence to the point of even changing names. When they were being murdered they were Bosnian Muslims but today they have been renamed Bosniaks.

Bosnian Muslims became Bosniaks.

The sectarian issue is historical but what is currently happening in Iraq and Syria is strongly related to Sykes–Picot stuff. All the areas were drawn in way to keep an overwhelming communal (sectarian+ethnic) stress on all the newly formed sovereigns in ME.

US/UK/ or any other have been enjoying the stability for a long time. Fault lines have played their rule in Europe and millions of people have been during the first half of 20th century.

Weakness begins at home is true. However, here in the case of second gulf war, there was no handle to grab from the inside. It all started with a one sided agenda of accusing the other party of having WMDs which was proven to be lie. Hence, in this case, the outsider appears to be a burglar. If there had been no burglar, the house would still have been in order. Weaker or stronger is another thing.

Although I confess I got this wrong - I doubted that this would happen but it has happended. On the other hand I am chuckling in satisfaction that General Raheel Sharif Sahib has placed three conditions which show the wisdom, self respect and integrity of the man.

1. Iran to be invited - Wisdom
2.
No Saudi above him - Self Respect
3. Right to mediation - Establishing his integrity

*I am waiting for people to label Gen. Raheel Sharif a "closet Shia or Iran lover" for having the temerity to make demand No.1
No 1 was a great gesture by Gen Saab, we have no reason to hate on Iran; we are neighbors and should live like brothers. May this enhance Iran/Pak relations.

Feels weird man.

 Boori baat, you should not be trolling.

As per condition, Iran will be invited to join it but It does not say Iran must join. I will be surprised if Iran joins any coalition that is lead by KSA and Arab countries due to the obvious reasons of sectarian differences but more importantly inflated racial ego, pride of the past glory and especially historical enmity with Arabs.
So KSA will extend the invitation to Iran as per condition but most probably Iran will reject however, the condition will be fulfilled and Raheel Shareef will have to command
But then the ball will remain in Iran's court. That's my prediction / analysis and it can be wrong. Let's see how it plays in coming days...

.
And how about Iran as an observer or at least well informed about the role of Pakistan? Iran is not joining the alliance physically, period. A lot of things are developing behind the curtains, we'll get to know in a month or two.
