Rafael eyes Iron Dome exports after Gaza

I know for a fact that many countries are suffering from fireworks threats.
This system is great at intercepting all those bottle rockets.

. .
South Korea would need this to avoid crude artillery and rocket fire from North Korea.

Procurement of David's Sling or the Iron Dome would be a "pleasure". "Defense News" reports that India is in talks to buy Israel's ground-based rocket and missile interceptor systems Iron Dome and David's Sling.

David's Sling, designed to intercept medium-range missiles (70-240 kilometers range), is being developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. and Raytheon Company.

Indian Ministry of Defense sources told "Defense News" negotiations between the Israeli and Indian governments on a deal for David's Sling had been going on for more than six months.

The sources added that Israel was open to sales of David's Sling, but that it would not transfer the system's technology as part of a deal.

An Indian Ministry of Defense official said that neither its aging Russian-built air defense systems nor the PAD system can serve as the country' sole line of defense against potential missile threats from Pakistan or China.

He said that the procurement of David's Sling or the Iron Dome would be a "pleasure".

It won't work against North Korea's overwhelming artillery fire hell I doubt it can intercept something as fast as an artillery shell anyways to begin with. Did you know that American and South Korean experts say that during the first day of the conflict between NK and SK 500,000 artillery shells of the NKian army will fall on south Korea not counting the MLRS too.

I stick to my believe that Iron Dome is a failed system and I put my voice with a lot of Israeli officially as well who say the same thing.

This system can intercept Grad, Uragan, Fajar-3/5, MLRS, Smerch.

I guess "fiasco" here is quite a heavy word, but the rockets did dampen Iron dome's reputation.....
Is system achieves 90% success rate at shooting range its very good result. If system achieves 90% combat success rate, its simply amazing result.

Iron dome is designed to to intercept grad and Qassam rockets both a hundred time cheaper (Qassam is only 10$ I think) than iron dome missiles. Hell Qassams use sugar as the main propellant and the worse it can do is make burn marks on the walls. Make a few thousand Qassams and light them with a lighter (yes they are like a firework) and send them towards occupied Palestine during war time and watch Israel go broke.

Yes true it is a temporary measure and most likely an air rade will follow quickly however with good planning and in time it shows how much iron dome is a failed counter measure.
Grad rocket costs thousands and can make damage of millions. Also Iron Dome calculates the source of enemy fire and in real war second after that our 155-mm howitzers and MLRSs will eradicate enemy batteries.

How ironic. Gazans choose to keep killing Jews rather than the benefits of good relations by developing rocket weapons; even if inaccurate they believed that by disrupting everyday life by making people run for cover they would make Jews suffer. Israel responds by developing anti-rocket weapons. Israeli life goes on as before, but now Israel can export the anti-rocket system to make Jews even richer, while Gazans continue to wallow in their economic and moral morass.

.
The price argument is flawed since the system will determine if the rocket that is falling down will land on a populated area.
If it doesnt no interception is carried out-if it does-chances are its preventing a cost far higher then the buying price of iron dome-in lives, medical expenses, damaged infrastructure etc.....
So all in all it's not that bad of a thing to have.
