Sir, Mark Sien
why we are not working "indigniously" on a Radar.?
We are.. and that is enough on that.

Sir, Mark Sien
why we are not working "indigniously" on a Radar.?
If Pakistan was working on a purely indigenous radar, then we probably wouldn't know about it until its revealed by them. Beyond that we know Pakistan is working with China in various radar or radar-related applications - such as ZDK03 AEW&C. Its expected that Pakistan will use what it learns from ZDK03 to develop its own AEW&C in the future. Other than China-Pakistan cooperation, the most likely partners are Turkey's Aselsan and Italy/Britain's Selex-Galileo firms for large and fighter-based applications, respectively. Nonetheless, don't expect to hear much about Pakistani development in this area given the sensitivities of today's time...Sir, Mark Sien

I don't know if many countries, except maybe the US and Russia, produce 100% indigenous radars. Most countries simply do not have R&D and manufacturing facilities to design and produce the specialized integrated circuits needed for radars.
You are right..Mass production may be a problem..but for indeginous defence equipment, building specialized fascility is no biggy..If I am Allowed to Interfere, Well Radars are even made By University Students Around the World.... High Quality radars are Indigenously made By many Countries other than USA and Russia....

If Pakistan has a viable design,it can source existing fascilities within the country for Circuit boards and chip programming.

I am talking more about electronic steering and specialized DSP chips that are needed for AESA type radars. As I understand, you can only go so far with off-the-shelf chips. In order to design and produce leading edge AESA radars, you need to design the chips from scratch.
Sir, Radar Is No Rocket Science, If Pakistan can develop Guidance system for Its Missile, why not the radars?? And Iam sure Pakistan has Its own radars..
not that I know of. But PAC is licensed to produce and modify some Chinese and some western radars, such as the Italian FIAR Grifo-7 and 7-MG radars.
The Kamra Avionics & Radar factory is responsible to install/maintain/repair the Grifo-7 and other radars after their induction, and has the facilities to do so.
I agree with you..and please stop calling me Sir..I haven't been knighted by the old hag, called the Queen
Sir, Sir is just used for respect, dont you want respect?Exactly......... this one baffles me as well.......... everyone in Pakistan and India has the habit of calling Sir and Mr......... why can't they just call us by our first names????? I have even thrashed people for it, yet, they still call me Sir!!!!!!
