Racial attack: Indian killed in Australia

IT'S NOT A RACIAL ATTACK BECAUSE THE MOTIVE OF THE ATTACK HASN'T BEEN DETRMINED AS RACIAL AND THE POLICE ARE STILL INVESTIGATING.

Thats some weird logic - How can the motive be determined if the investigation is not complete? How can you declare it was non - racist if investigation are still on?

Rest was all personal attack. Ignored.
Kindly behave better next time.

Are you drunk or something? Please don't use capitals in you post.

If the motive of the attack has not been determined, explain how you can say it was not a racial attack?

I can say it's not a racial attack because it hasn't been determined as a racial attack. The police are just treating it like any other crime. Until it's proven that it is a racial attack then it's just a normal attack.

If a white person was stabbed, race wouldn't even be brought into it. It is just being investigated as normal, and until the police catch the man and he admits "yes, i stabbed him because i dont like Indians" The attack is not being considerd racially motivated. It is being considerd a normal crime.

OMFG! Do you understand how stupid you sound? That post proves even further you don't read my posts. The post of mine you quoted said "the motive has not been determined yet" and then you reply to it with "how can the motive be determined if the investigation is not complete?"

THIS IS WHAT I ******* SAID!!! HOW STUPID CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE? MY post you quoted said the motive hasn't been determined then you ask how the motive has been determined, please grow a brain omg.

So stupid. :hitwall:
Learn some manners or you will be replied in kind.

You seem to completely miss (which I think is deliberate the second part - How can it be said to be non racial if investigation are not complete.

Asking how can it be non racial if the investigation is not complete is implying that the attack is raced based until the investigation i complete. Which sounds totally stupid.

Well xdrive, next time, anytime any minority dies in India we will say he died because of racism, sexism, homophobic, religious and ageism and obviously anything else that comes to mind, until such a time when this accusation is disproved by the Indian government and Police. Sounds like the same type of logic as some lunees on this forum.

No wonder minroties are massacred in India daily. Please disprove me :victory: :victory: :victory:

Yes, and if an Australian gets bashed and robbed in India i will surely make a thread on this forum screaming "RACIST RACIST" totally ignoring all the facts and making up my mind even before the police have started investigating and then when the facts get layed on the table, i will totally ignore them and just keep going around in circles :woot: :smitten:

Two Indian students have been assaulted in the Australian city of Melbourne - the latest in a series of attacks there targeting people from India.

A group of attackers allegedly made racist comments before kicking and punching the students on Monday.

One victim was taken to hospital and underwent surgery. Police have charged five men over the attacks, reports say.

Meanwhile, the prime minister's nephew has been fined for staging a controversial anti-racism protest.

Van Thanh Rudd - the son of PM Kevin Rudd's brother - and another man dressed in Ku Klux Klan costumes and carried anti-racism signs outside the Australian Open tennis championship on Tuesday.

They had each been fined Australian $234 ($210; £130) for offensive behaviour, Victoria state police said.

The attack on the students, aged 20 and 22, was the eighth such incident in Australia in a fortnight.

Earlier this month, Australia condemned an Indian newspaper cartoon depicting an Australian police officer as a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

The cartoon, published in New Delhi's Mail Today, satirised Victoria police for saying there was no evidence the fatal stabbing of Indian student Nitin Garg, 21, in a Melbourne park on 2 January, had been racially motivated.

Van Thanh Rudd said Indians in Australia were two-and-a-half times more likely to be attacked than any other ethnic group and it was time for the government to condemn the attacks as racist.

He told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) the protest was also meant to call attention to the plight of asylum seekers turned away from Australian shores.

Van Thanh Rudd is an artist whose work is categorised by bold, political statements.

A spokeswoman for the prime minister told ABC his nephew's protest was "a matter for the people involved".

Kevin Rudd's nephew in Ku Klux Klan anti-racism protest - Oneindia News

Melbourne, Jan 26(ANI): Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's nephew was involved in a bizarre Ku Klux Klan anti-racism protest outside the Australian Open tennis tournament at Melbourne Park.

Buzz up!
According to reports, police moved on artist-activist Van Thanh Rudd and Sam King, from the Revolutionary Socialist Party, who were donning a Ku Klux Klan outfit outside the Rod Laver Arena to protest what they deemed the refusal of the Australian Government to acknowledge the "racist" nature of the attacks on Indians.

The protest came after eight men were arrested overnight over an attack on two Indian students. The attackers allegedly made racist comments before kicking and punching the Indians.

Van Thanh also said that it was an Australia Day protest against the Government's support for "genocidal regimes".

"The Australian Government is supporting governments like the Sri Lankan Government, for example, in preventing Sri Lankan Tamils from escaping the Sri Lankan Government," ABC News quoted Van Thanh, as saying.

"Australia funds the genocidal Sri Lankan regime and then rejects the refugees who flee. In this country you could not get away with doing that against whites. So, they're the basic reasons we're having the protest today," he added.

Van Thanh further said that he chose Melbourne Park as a place to raise the cause, as it would get significant attention on Australia Day.

"I wanted to find a place that means a lot to people on Australia Day and also it being an area that's quite central in Melbourne ... also, in terms of making a theatrical sort of performance in this protest, it wouldn't be too hard hopefully to get a bit of attention," he said.

"I'm pretty certain [the public] won't like it too much - the aim is to create a bit of a scene, not by creating any violence or anything of course, but just parade about a bit. We did not ask for permission to do it, so I guess we fully knew that it may only last 10 minutes," he added.

The protest came as Kevin Rudd welcomed new Australians at an Australia Day ceremony in Canberra, telling them they were becoming citizens not of "the lucky country", but of "the country, which we have built together.

What the BBC fail to mention is that the 8 men who attacked those 2 indian men are Asian, Chinese nationals.

But of course they wouldn't mention that, it's only "white" people who are racist after all isn't it? :disagree:

Anyway i'm not surprised these men got racially attacked by Chinese men, this forum has some pretty racist people china from what i have seen in other threads. I got called an Indian and then had racist insults directed at me such as "curry eater" "stupid curry" :disagree:

anyway, those 8 chinese men can have fun in jail :china: :woot:

Are you sure they are Chinese nationals or are Australians of Chinese descent? It doesn't really matter, this is not a White vs Brown issue. The issue is about attacks on Indians taking place in Australia irrespective of whether the attackers are asian, Caucasian, etc etc.

I read something about the topic:
Police say 1,447 Indians were victims of reported crime in Victoria, where Melbourne is situated, in the year ending July 2008. The Federation of Indian Students of Australia (FISA) believes the true figure is several times higher.

No, these are Chinese citizens, and it does matter where they come from. The racist biased Indian media are always saying in there news papers "white Australians" are racist and are making all these racist attacks. I guarantee that they will report about this and just act like it's "white australians" when the people who did the attack arn't even aussie.

Numerous other attacks against Indians have also been done by Lebanese students.
