Should the government be more proactive in this regard?

yeah why dont you give up and move to a cave then...meanwhile people are going to try harder to understand.

It's interesting you brought in 'copper' before I talked of any monetary gains from such an exercise. Desi Baniya first yourself it seems!

well the Koh i Suleiman ranges in Balochistan are the touted copper mines of Solomon.

Send your people to Adam's Clock first .. can't figure out most of the stuff bare open anyways, chalay buried medicinal discoveries ki talaash main.

To dig out destroyed buildings of ancient civiliazations? Please provide references from Quran making this a duty upon Muslims.

"Have not they seen how many generations before them We Have destroyed, We Have Given them the means to domesticate the land that we Have not Given you, and We Have Sent the rain in abundance on them, and We Have Caused rivers to flow beneath them, yet We Have Destroyed them for their sins, and We Have Raised after them other generations" 6:6

Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers." 6:11

Have not they walked through the earth to see how was the end of those before them, they were more numerous than they are and more powerful and developed the earth more …” 40:82

Although religious discussions are not allowed but people still discuss religion in great lengths. So i am going to risk a new thread.

I would expect the members to remain civil. Nah thats just too much to ask but still no fatwas please.

When did Archaeology adopt any religion?

ar·chae·ol·o·gy
/ˌärkēˈäləjē/
noun
  1. the study of human history and prehistory through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artifacts and other physical remains.

So biblical archeology can be a term but Quranic archeology cannot?

Makes sense.

. . . .
It my be a "thing" but it is not Archaeology. What is the age of Earth according to the Bible? :D

Besides, if others make fools of themselves like this, must we follow?

So you think Scholars of the Bible and many expeditions led by American, German and British and the French governments were foolish and are still foolish?

The expeditions furthering the science of Archaeology are valid, but those looking to serve any particular religious points of view, whatever they may be, are not.

Not really. Science, including Archaeology, is based on facts and experimentation, observation and hypotheses. Religions are only systems of personal beliefs taken on faith. Both have different frames of references that simply are inapplicable to each other.

That is the same thing as do not go swimming after eating.

So you are basically saying that those expeditions were just to loot the ancient civilisation?

I did not know just by mentioning Quran you would become a resurrected Indiana Jones

Pillaging any cultural and other relics on the basis of Archaeology is wrong and reprehensible, no matter who does it.
