Questions you want to ask to armed forces personnel

Have a ton of Qs!

Just a couple to start with:

With much of the last 2 decades and still at present, a majority of the army operations being centred around the western borders, focusing on COIN and fighting sub-conventional warfare, has fighting an enemy that is albeit concealed within the population, but still with much less resources, affected the army's ability to undertake military operations on the eastern border against the main enemy? Furthermore, now that more resources are freed up, has there/will there be a realignment in trainings towards fighting conventionally against an army with larger resources?

This may be a naive question defunct of knowledge but here goes: just using the recent events along the LAC to extrapolate here, if our eastern neighbour were to try a misadventure at an entirely unexpected sector, say an amphibious assault along the coast - do we have the capability to thwart it?

Sure, if you could phrase it like something that they'd be comfortable in answering then, of course :)
Is our security apparatus aware of the challenges in Sindh. Given a political party is constantly making threats of corpses and use of Sindhi card and calls for separation if action taken against them. Fertile conditions are being created for dissident anti nationalistic forces and sponsored terrorism by the likes of Sindhudesh Republic Army, by blatant corruption, and by design enforcing extreme living conditions to subvert the urban areas. Constant propaganda against state as an excuse to their incompetence, and to cover their corruption.

Why is Army deployed more in numbers in the cities than at the border?

Personally, I hate them deployed inside the cities. They should focus on their own training and preparations. This city deployment has affected the army a lot in a negatively way.

But then, this deployment has contributed in the overall peace situation in cities. Possibly, this will have to continue till the police are made capable enough to take on their original job.

I got a couple of questions for Pakistan Army ...

1. Has Pakistan Army selected it's next generation Standard Issued Rifle? If it hasn't, what time frame are we looking at in the implementation of this procurement?

2. Has Pakistan Army, standardized body armor, throughout the service of war fighters? If not, then why?

3. When Pakistan Army does select the Z-10ME for Army Aviation, are there any plans for a comprehensive ToT. And if it does, then does Pakistan Army plan to have provisions in place for this purpose? Example manufacturing!

1. Yes.

2. Body armor has been almost standardized now.

What were the some instances when you were mad at High Command or Logistics?

It goes to the credit of our entire armed forces that that have kept themselves viable for eastern border despite fighting COIN for two decades.

Training for conventional operations already runs in parallel with other engagements. Of course this puts additional stress on officers and soldiers..... But then, this is the price....

As far as your part question is concerned, necessary safeguards are already in place to thwart such attempts. These safeguards take the form of conventional, sub conventional, non conventional, ground based, sea based and air based assets.....

What were the some instances when you were mad at High Command or Logistics?

As far as war on terror is concerned.... Not even once. A bit angry maybe, but not mad.

It all comes to... Either you remain angry and let that affect your operational efficiency.... Or, you improvise, adapt and overcome.

Technically not a question but, anyone can tell me what are the contents of Medkit issued by army? If possible please share a picture.

Why aren't the different kinds of Para military forces operating in different parts of the country merged into a single paramilitary entity example Pakistan Rangers or Pakistan National guard ?

Why do we need a Major GENERAL rank person to be the spokes person of Armed Forces that is DG ISPR ?

Is Colonel or Brigadier level for rank not good enough for DG ISPR?

My question is that what does a normal fighting arms officer's day like in the unit does he spend more timer with his soldier or does he make reports or all that?We have seen pakistan army officers go in to battle with their soldiers is this tradition of lead from front still carried?
And lastly what kind of qualities you look in a potential officer from your POV?

@PanzerKiel

Follow up question, what were some of the limitations you had to over come during WoT in terms of equipment etc and how you over came those short comings to complete your missions.

I want to ask a question: What is being done about the ever increasing Indian terrorism? Is there any end in sight?
