Question about UAE's Dash-8 MPA

Back in 2009, the UAE upgraded some of its Bombrdier Dash-8 Q300s into Maritime Patrol Craft with all sorts of radars for spotting surface combatants.

However, I can find no information on whether the Dash-8s were equipped with Sonobouy launch tubes for submarine detection.

The problem here lies in the fact that the UAE chose Provincial Aerospace to do the upgrades and not their rival Fields Aviation because Fields has done tons of Dash-8 modifications and even have Sonobouys on their brochures online:

If anyone has any info on this it would be very much obliged.

Guys, I know about the Fields Aviation Modification. I even linked the PDF in my first post.

However, Provincial Aerospace was selected, not Fields. I can't find any information on what exactly Provincial does to upgrade the UAE Dash-8s.

The info you are asking is very specific and at a time when tension are very high in the region. The jet you are asking info is a marine surveillance aircraft and to know about such sensitive info at such sensitive time is wrong approach and trying to do so with an Arabic fellow in your avatar is the worst you could do. You need better social engineering skills to get such info. Our stance in this whole situation is netural so no informed member will help you now check back when world is more sane place.

Provincial aero space upgradation package is totally different from field.

There is an extra hatch. Beyond this no info can be provided due to regional tensions. Your inquiry looks fishy.

No, that much info is not enough for me. The scenario involves hunting a sub and not all sensors are designed to seek underwater targets. If I include a Dash-8 with only surface searching capabilities, it's not really useful to the player.

In any case, mods please lock this thread. I just put in UAE Panther Helicopters, those are designed for ASW work and have everything.
