The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, met with President Erdogan today and announced $15 billion of direct investment in Turkey.

This comes as Turkey sought alternative measures to an IMF bailout.

This news has caused the Lira, which had fell to as low as $1=7 TRY in recent days, to stabilise and strengthen - it is now back up at around $1 = 5.95 TRY.
