Putin: U.S. "living like parasites" on economy

Yeah, they don't have a $14 trillion debt and counting.
U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

Isn't that what your politicians are embroiled over? And if I am not mistaken, the economy is the number one factor in the minds of US voters.

My suggestion is to take a decision in which there isn't so much uncertainty.

Russia's debt level is actually not that high, and no reason to worry about the state of the global economy.

Sure, China is a fast developing economy. And that similarly goes for emerging economies.

Gone are the days when money in America grew on trees. I hope you understand what I was implying.

They already have massive debt already going on in China. Haven't you read the news? Right now Chinese people are buying more things which the Chinese govt. needs to meet demands which means more spending. Don't worry about it. Its years away.

Hope that Russia and China persuade G-20 and other countries to give up the US dollar as international currency and instead explore a new global monetary system. This would ensure that the global economy is not deeply affected by reckless spending by one country.

I guess BRICS countries would have to take this up more seriously than G-20 which are not going to be so easy. BRICS nations have significant economic potential and influence to actually at least let people around the globe re-think their previous governments' decisions on USD reserves.

Hmmm...Criticisms from Putin/Russia. This is from a country that actually defaulted on its own GKO Treasury Bonds and needed foreign bail out back in the late '90s.

All countries have debt. China's debt is not like debt == value of economy. And it is still a developing country.

Although, Putin's comment was probably a political rant.

All thanks to Yeltsin.
