Featured Putin: Russia-China Military Alliance Can't Be Ruled Out

Nato feels more threatened by Russia than the other way around, it is common sense.

Its not about who feels more threatened from the other its the fact that there is a threat from either side to begin with.

Op is an idiot (no offense)

NATO:

Soldiers: 3.7M
over 25K airplanes
200 submarines
8K nukes
12K tanks (irrelevant stat)
1300 warships
Military budget: $1.3T

Russia is slowly going through a modernization phase and same with the Chinese. If these two giants join forces and share in technology R&D, etc and integrate other regional ex-USSR and other nations it'll be a formidable block. Both Russia & China face the same threats they don't have a reason not to cooperate and join forces.

Next few decades we can see ourselves entering another phase of Cold War II --

My only concern is we have idiots being more and being put into positions of power, so I'm not to hopeful.

Medical insurance worth 10,000 dollars and lawyers worth 100,000 dollars do not bring any advantage on the battlefield.

If calculated by industrial manufacturing capacity, the rest of the world can add up to make the game against China a bit challenging.

So, our dear Russian friends, you can watch the game by drinking beer.

Do you know how many shipyards in China can manufacture aircraft carriers? 52. 8-) 8-) 8-)
What’s more interesting is that China’s military budget as a percentage of GDP is still low in many European countries. If China is a NATO member, the United States will accuse China of low military budget and evade military responsibilities.

Imagine lol, you're delusional.

NATO's GDP ($45T Japan excluded)
NATO has more manpower (3.7M)
West's technology>>>>Chinese junk
West is much bigger in terms of land and natural resources (Canada, US, Australia, EU, Japan = 40.000.000 km² vs Russia/China 27.000.000 km²

Get real and please stop with the CCP propaganda
Nato has too many countries. The more countries are in, the less cooperative and efficient the ally will be.

LOL Putin doesn't need to tell us every now and then. If he really wanted to do it then he would have done it long ago, same with China. What are they still waiting for? lol
If they haven't formed an alliance all this while(despite all the hostilities and pressure/sanctions from the West) then that means both of them are still wary of each other deep down in their hearts. I bet they know they are both too close to each other for comfort (they are neighbours) so one side will always view the other with some sort of suspicion and rightly so. lol There will be no alliance between them anytime soon, just some cooperation and friendly ties or arm sales but nothing close to a military alliance. So Putin can stop this his bluff, nobody will fall for this. lol

Stalin pressured Mao to forget Taiwan and focus on the korean war. He promised Mao that once the Chinese invade with 1m men he will also send soviet troops and equipment. Once Mao ordered the invasion of Korea Stalin backstabbed him and refused to send any troops but only provided low grade soviet military equipment... Mao was absolutely furious and never forgave Stalin for this treachery.

They negotiated for this matter and in the end Russia decided not to send in troops and it was before China sending in troops but not after, Mao decided to go in without Russia's air cover by himself.

Geographically Russia and China are no more close than European countries to each other, do you mean European countries are wary of each other deep down in hearts?

It seems the Chinese don't even know the history of the Korean war. Cant blame some of them though, Guess the CCP will obviously want to hide this fact since it makes them look bad. The thing is that Russia has NEVER BEEN A TRUSTED PARTNER OR ALLY FOR CHINA. In fact they have caused China even more damage than the West could ever dream of. Stalin played Mao like a child and didn't hide his contempt for Mao, meanwhile Mao greatly admire and almost venerated him. The soviet treated the Chinese like a small pawn in their great game against the U.S/West actually and they did backstab China alot. Its no wonder this led to the Sino Soviet split. The only surprise for me is that it took the Chinese so long for them to realise this and cut themselves off from the Russians. Without the Soviet Union/Stalin China would have taken Taiwan long ago. :agree:

Allies and enemies switched camps all the time in the history, Japan was an US ally in WWI but the arch enemy in WWII, this is geopolitics, don't think like a child. As long as our interests are aligned, we can trust each other, and that's all we need for a specific time and occasion.

European countries have long passed that stage and reason thy formed a military alliance and even a united union like the E.U. China and Russia are different since both countries are very different and thus cant form such an alliance or union easily. for one they are very much different in almost everything one can think of. Moreover, Russia still harbours suspicions about China over its far east, since Russia sees that China who has always been a junior to Russia is now Rising very fast and Russia know that it wasn't until recently that they finally settled their border issue with China, even though vast amount of land was illegally seized and annexed from China by Russia. For example even ROC(Taiwan) still doesn't recognises Russia's illegal occupation and annexation of most of these territories. CCP was only able to calmly negotiate and make some concessions with Russia without creating an uprising or outraged among the Chinese public simply because the CCP is a one party state that controls almost everything in China and controls every information the Chinese public receives. Imagine China was a democracy like Taiwan, then such a situation would never have been possible and Russia knows it.
Moreover, the fact that Russia's far east is very sparsely populated by Russians makes Russia wary that a rising China can one day slowly encroached and slowly carved that area out back from Russia(just like Russia did against China in the past when China grew weak only this time its the opposite). There are many reasons Russia will always be wary deep down about China giving that Russia is a prideful country and always sees itself as a great power, to see one of its neighbours rising above it will obviously bring some sort of apprehension. To put things into perspective, if the West decides to lower its pressure on Russia and bring Russia in its fold, then Russia wont think twice and ditch China. Russia is only a little bit closer to China today because they have no choice whatsoever and because the West has pushed them away(despite this they still don't want to form a military alliance with china, else they would have done so long ago. So yes both countries will keep trading and Russia will keep selling arms to China and even making joint ventures with China. However both sides will not form a military alliance.

I don't have time to read your long essays , we all know how "united" Europe is, especially through this Covid crisis.

Exactly, It was even Soviet advisors who mindlessly brainwashed Mao into believing his great cultural revolution was working...in the end you had a huge famine which killed easily between 20-30 million people. Mao until his last days could not forget the way Stalin backstabbed China into the Korean war causing the unecessary deaths of millions of brave Chinese soldiers with no strategic gain to show. Russians even colluded with the Japanese and their soldiers were even involved in the genocide of many Chinese civilians but I bet most Chinese are even unaware of that.
Allies and enemies switched camps all the time in the history, Japan was an US ally in WWI but the arch enemy in WWII, this is geopolitics, don't think like a child. As long as our interests are aligned, we can trust each other, and that's all we need for a specific time and occasion.

So what makes you think the west & russia wont compromise in the future against a common perceived threat (China)?

In the world of international diplomacy realpolitik always prevails
