Dude, China is about equal to Russia now in military technology overall.

While it lags Russia a little in engines and SSNs, it is ahead in key areas like electronics and sensors.

China's far greater financial muscle means that China is able to develop military technology at a greater rate than Russia is able to.

By 2020, China would have caught upto, or surpassed, Russia in all areas.

It is now a US versus China race now. Russia and Europe will be left behind.

Funding is important and currently the only two nations that are pursing aggressively next generation weapons such as HGV's are the US and China.

To quote the previous claim that was made directly:
