ISLAMABAD – Sartaj Aziz, adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, has informed the National Assembly that Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted invitation of PM Nawaz Sharif to visit Pakistan.
Sartaj Aziz added that date of visit will be finalized as per the convenience of both leaders.
Replying to another question, Sartaj Aziz told Lower House of the Parliament that both the countries were already enhancing cooperation in the fields of defense and trade.
Putin’s visit to Pakistan will be a significant move in this regard, he added.
Earlier, Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif had paid a very successful visit to Russia last month, which opens the new avenues for Pak-Russia relations.
