King of Persia (Xerxes) marries a Jewish girl named Esther. The grand vizier of Xerxes gets mad of her uncle (Mordecai), because he does not bow to him (as old testament says, probably there were more reasons). He orders to murder all the Jews in the empire as revenge.
The Queen finds out about the plot and tells the King. The King arms the Jews to kill all their enemies.
