LAHORE: The Punjab government has signed an agreement with a Chinese company (Golden Bean Group) for the construction of a state-of-the-art Theme Park and Aquarium in Lahore at a cost of Rs36 billion which will have recreational facilities like Disneyland.

The Chinese company will complete the world class Theme Park in one-and-a-half years. Lahore Commissioner Abdullah Sumbal along with Punjab Horticulture Authority director-general Mian Muhammad Shakeel and Chinese company chairman Jin Ming Nan signed the agreement here on Thursday.

According to a handout, the Golden Bean Group will also participate in the bidding along with national and international companies for the construction of Sundar Workers Welfare Complex Phase-I, a project of the Punjab Labour Department worth Rs7.78 billion, where 2,900 apartments would be built for industrial workers and labourers.

This complex will also have facilities of two separate PWWB schools for boys and girls, a community center, a mosque and other amenities of life.

Labour secretary Ali Sarfraz and Chinese company chairman Jin Ming Nan signed the MoU in this regard.

A theme park-in Dhaka build by local company

No offence, but from the pictures you posted this establishment seems rather small and is most probably not the same scale we are talking about here. There are quite a few of these parks in my city (which is 5th largest in Pakistan). PKR 36 Billion should get us a much nicer and much much bigger facility, assuming no corruption.

Bro I didn't mean to start a pissing contest here. This proposed theme park doesn't belong to me and I am pretty sure the one in Dhaka isn't owned by you :)

I was just trying to say that this might be a much bigger facility considering that it will cost PKR 36 billion. That's all.

i am telling that too

Yeh Allama Iqbal park wali side pe na bna dein... Minaar-e-Pakistan pe b bn skta hai

I don't think it will be within Lahore unless it's going to be tiny facility. Jallo side or Raiwind side are more probable locations.

DISGUSTING. WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOORA? MAKING THEME PARK & ALL THIS SH!T? WE NEED A NEW PAKISTAN WHERE WE WOULD HAVE NIGHTCLUBS, STRIP CLUBS & CASINOS. YOU NOORAS ARE RUINING OUR GENERATION. DEATH TO DEMOCRACY.

This will bring people from sindh and kpk to punjab and people will vote pmln.

it's hard, on one side we need parks like these, build domestic tourism, but we also need education and health to get better.
