Punitive Air Strikes on Enemy Airbases and Our Options.

I was referring to stockpile of Ballistic and Cruise Missiles

https://www.globalfirepower.com/armor-mlrs-total.asp

Why do we have such low numbers of MLRS as compared to other nations?

If you can please not get into the psyche of weapons race created by Indian war hysteria in their media as well as news posted here. Don't get bothered by such rankings.

Regarding MLRS:
1. What role does MLRS have ?
2. How many strike formations does Pakistan Army have ?
3. How many more MLRS do you think PA needs ?

SSW action is a good option. But won't we need full air superiority to be able to send in SSW guys??
Not always.

Have you read the book "The fourth Round" by Ravi Rikhye?
I read it along time back, he was sending Mi-24 with Indian SF flying low over GT road from Lahore to Rawalpindi at night to attack Kahuta 8-)

Anyways, there are many methods of SF insertion.

A good suggestion.
You threw an idea - but form it into something approachable.

A realistic suggestion will be to compare PAF capability of starting an air campaign just like NATO air strikes in 1995 and 1999 Yugoslavia. Then you can find out the shortcomings of PAF as well as the challenge that IAF poses in such a scenario.

and yeah do factor in allied contribution - if any (China- GCC - Turkey etc)

There are some definite reaso for which IK confirmed about avoiding war with India after so much of provocation from India....If Pakistan is expecting for India to initiate war so that Pakistan will attack and take back Kashmr, then it is not going to happen any time in future...There is no incentive for India to attack Pakistan...

To avoid falling into the trap of multi-front war set by India through false flag ops.

Did our guys know about this? If so what was our strategy?

I think the Indian top brass is very smart. They have played their cards right knowing fully well that if Pakistan attacks it will be an aggressor and it will play right into their hands to support their narrative of Paklands being a rogue nation with a desire to establish their hegemony over the region. This is a page right out of the Israeli play book of what they are doing in Palestine. The Israelis have open support from the US but currently the international support for India is overt. What IK has done with his speech in the UN is to unmask that face to the world. This would prevent the powers that be to come out openly in support of a nation which is currently struggling to support its narrative by quashing any news coming out of Kashmir and committing human rights violations. This in its own right is negative publicity and prevents the international players from swaying public opinion towards the Indian narrative.
What happens next is status quo unless Indian security apparatus uses too much force. If it does Paklands may be forced to respond due to local pressure.
I wish the opposition had pressured the govtt into a war with India rather than the Stupid Azadi march. That might have been a much harder challange for the govtt to extricate itself from rather than the illegitimate Azadi march led by Maulana Diesel.

As a total layman, the gap between India and Pakistan is minimal when it comes to the Air Force. There is a gap in quality armour. They have about 1500 t90’s which are fine tanks. They can be used for offensive maneuvers and would give a hard time to us. The weakness in these so far (from my understanding) are many lack night fighting capabilities. Despite that, they are one of the best tanks in the world. Since they are sort of new, the Indians haven’t screwed then up yet with their poor upkeep - recent t90 barrell blowing up in their face notwithstanding. Their t72s are not very effective and 50 percent may not be operable. Not sure about their upgraded ones. In contrast Pakistan has maybe 300-400 al Khalid and 300 t80ud which would be the tip of the spear for any offensive. The upgraded al zarrarr is good but really the former two would be responsible for pushing in to India to take and hold territory. We are overdue for some quality armor induction. Man how valuable a few hundred more modern tanks would be...We also have an edge so far when it comes to attack helicopters to support offensives. The apaches May change that eventually so it may be pretty equal eventually.

From a defensive end, we have 10s of thousands of ATGM (local and bought from the USA) which could blunt an offensive, especially over challenging terrain.

It feels to me the above are the main reasons an offense is being avoided by us. If the Indians attacked and lost some of their high quality armor against well defended positions it’s more plausible for us to attack locally at places. The issue is, in modern warfare a 3:1 ratio is understood to be required to take over an adversary, neither one of us has that over the other.

If we could convince China to make some noise and aggressive exercises by their borders along with taking a few posts in areas they consider theirs, it may give enough of a respite to allow us to take some land. But the issue is how long? It still doesn’t give us Kashmir, we are back to square one.

Maybe the best way is to prepare for a thousand year war. That’s what Modi wants anyways.

Recently IAF has been bringing its frontline jets on bases bordering Pakistan in Rajisthan. Before there were the Su 30s and now the Mirage 2000s. Surely Shahbaz and Bholari have eyes on them. Satellite pass over Jaisalmer airbase captures a rare sight, 4 x Mirage 2000 taxing on the base, possibly a winter detachment.

Mushaf Airbase has been busy with a lot of air traffic of various fighter jets. This airbase is our main operational base for air defence and deep strike roles.

An airbase of interest Jamnager in Gujrat has been recently displaying its toys to the media.
