What's new

PTI wins NA-250

The whole process of creating, printing, transferring and recording the use of ballot papers is ripe for exploitation and needs to be revamped, it seems to me.

It seems the same to everyone!

Paper ballots of this 2 number quality is no way to go in the 21st century.

I think that all parties led by PTI should work on ensuring that such basic errors built into the present system are changed to be ready for the next elections. And the time to work on that is NOW, not when the election comes near. NOW.

Btw, where are darbari, patwari and Shah sai zayada Shah kai waffadar @Tiger Awan @AdeelFaheem @Tameem who frequently accused PTI for having an unnatural alliance with MQM in karachi as Imran Khan had stopped speaking against Altaf Beghairat

They are preparing to start their new jobs bestowed by Mian Saab for their loyal service :pakistan:

About 100,000 votes were cast in NA-250..

How many registered voters are there in the constituency?

I think the voter turnover wasn't as low as reported.

Couldn't find exact figure but these might give some idea...

NA250 Karachi XII | Pakistan Elections 2013

Top 3 candidates from 2008 elections = 52045+44412+3480 = 99937 votes

Constituency NA-250 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

2013 elections = Arif Alvi has won as per unofficial results securing 17,519 votes on 19th May and 60140 votes on 11th May, totaling 77659 votes. Khush Bakht got 30365 on 11th May

77659+30365 = 108024 = Just 2 candidates make MORE votes than 2008.

MQM giving figure of 10% turn-out might be based on %age of re-polling stations to the WHOLE constituency,,,, while re-polling took place ONLY on 43-45 station out of 180 stations.

And this is the purpose of the PTI white paper as per Imran Khan...but some thick headed folks construe it as a rondhi rather than a identification of shortcomings.

Identification of shortcomings is only the first step. The real challenge will be to ensure the shortcomings identified are actually removed and rectified for the next elections.

The British have radical parties such as BNP and National Front who are shunned by the public and main political parties. They are allowed to contest elections but voters are educated about them so they can make a logical choice when voting.

That is what is happening in Pakistan at the moment, give it 10+ years and you will see political parties such as MQM, PMLN, JUI-F etc who no one will vote for because the public (including the rurals) will understand the implications in allowing leverage to such parties.

We are in a process of becoming wiser, call it evolution of society, its a normal process all countries go through till they become a developed nation. Part of the process in becoming a developed nation is the understanding of right from wrong.

PTI is the first social step towards a more evolved society. By 2023 elections we will see a very different political landscape as other parties similar to PTI will become mainstream.

Naturally there will be people who will attempt to prevent this from happening but you cannot impact societal change, it is a phenomenon which always takes its natural course.

The people who have embraced PTI are the educated classes, not just academically, you don't need a degree or to go Aitchisons to be educated, but philosophically and morally educated. Learn from them as we are your future.

My bro!

Here is a quick lesson on the history of JI in Karachi.

It is safe to say that 95% of Urdu-wa community was Jamatias fascists before they did the collective jump into enthno-fascist MQM.

I mean these Mullahs would loose even in Lahore (the head quarter of the snake Mullah Mawdoodi), and still win pretty much ALL seats in Karachi.

Such was the state of our community.

peace
