PTI needs 50 to form a government.

In my opinion give speaker and deputy speaker position to JI and QWP. They will happily take it.

That makes about 49 seats. Try to get one more seat from the 14 independents.

CM, Education, Finance, Development, Law n order, all ministries should remain under PTI.

In this scenario, get in QWP, indep and APML and form the government, I don't want JI to be anywhere near.

Today is a meeting of QWP to decide whether to be with PTI or not.

Independent are biggest blackmailers they will damage Imran reputation JI is far better option and by the way how come PTI won one seat in sindh Assembly from and from where ? news paper nai baat is reporting ?

Peshawar/Islamabad - With 34 seats in hand, the PTI is all set to form the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for which the modalities with political parties are almost final and their leaders are just giving final touches to the power-sharing mechanism.

Sources told TheNation that PTI would be forming the government in alliance with the Jamaat-I-Islami and Quami Watan Party, both having seven MPs each in the KPK Assembly and the trio could easily manage to woo another few independents in their fold to cross the threshold of simple majority.

Sources informed that though JUI-F chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman was also attempting to manipulate but his chances of achieving the target were depleting after the clear announcement of JI Ameer Moulana Munawar Hassan that the JI would not become part of any move to steal the mandate of any political party.

The JI sources also confirmed that they would be joining PTI in forming government in KPK along with QWP and a few independents.

Under the 18th Constitutional Amendment the independent MPs have to join some political party within three days of the notification of their victory by the ECP, otherwise they would stay independent and could not join any party at later stage. The inclination of independents would be toward the party going to form the government.

According to the Constitution, the president in the centre and governors in provinces are bound to invite the single largest party of the house (may or may not have simple majority) to form the government.

Sources in Peshawar says that the residence of Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao remained the hub of political activities for past couple of days and besides JUI-F central leader Akram Khan Durrani, the provincial leaders of PTI and JI also visited him to seek his support for formation of the government in the province.

Sources further informed that PTI chief Imran Khan also had telephonic conversation with Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and sought his support.

Though Quami Watan Party's central leadership would be meeting on Tuesday to make some final decision, sources in the PTI confirmed that the matter with QWP and JI were finalised and they would going to form coalition government.

The three parties collectively have a tally of 48 in the house of 99 and would be requiring another few independents to have simple majority. In the presence of 13 independent MPs in the house, it would be quite easy for them to form the government.
The JUI-F is the second largest party in the provincial assembly with 16 members. It needs the support of another 34 members to show simple majority and form the government. The number game can be won by getting the support of the 12 members of PML-N, seven members each of the JI and QWP and at least eight independents.

Former KPK chief minister Akram Khan Durrani is confident to get the required numbers and form a 'strong government' in the province. Tasked by Maulana Fazlur Rahman, Akram Khan Durrani arrived in the provincial capital on Sunday night and called on Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao. The JUI-F and QWP did seat to seat adjustment in a number of districts during the elections and Durrani was quiet optimistic about the outcome of his efforts.

Durrani said that he had also talked on phone with JI's Sirajul Haq, PML-N's provincial president Pir Sabir Shah and QWP's Sikandar Sherpao, adding that he had also been in contact with the independents. “All the parties should sit together and solve the problems faced by the people of this province.” He said that the province could not afford a rival government with the centre. He said that the PTI had no roots in the province and tribal areas. “They won't be able to overcome the law and order and other pressing problems in the province.”

Separately, JI chief Syed Munawar Hasan has announced support for the PTI for formation of government in KPK. According to JI sources, Syed Munawar Hassan believes that PTI has constitutional and moral right to form their provincial government in KPK as it is the largest party in the province.

Monitoring adds: PTI has nominated Pervez Khattak as chief minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a report.
PTI chairman Imran Khan nominated Khattak for the position.

PTI, JI, QWP join hands to form govt in KPK

Can a provincial government introduce legislation to dissolve authority to grass root level? Like PTI wanted the development funds to go down the chain and not be with MNA/MPA..can they do that as a provincial government?

They can give it to the grass root level, even without legislation.

They can give it to the grass root level, even without legislation.

So a provincial government does have the authority...?

Now is the time for IK and PTI to fulfill on all the promises and prove their worth.

The important points for the KPK government:

1- Education and health:

This is one of the objectives of prime importance. Education needs to be revamped province wide with solid steps, provision of schools and equipment, availability of teachers, no laptop BS instead solid steps...health sector should also be improved, the hospitals be brought on par with the rest of the country and the people should have healthcare at their doorstep. A SKMH is also being constructed in Peshawar right?

2- Infrastructure:

Roads, buildings, flyovers, underpass, beautification, parks, rescue services like 1122 etc, the police system needs to be completely revamped top to bottom, tourism needs to be promoted as KPK has great tourism spots in Nathiagali area and also Swat , Naran Kaghan, Abbottabad and such areas. The sewerage, provision of basic facilities such as water and gas to villages etc.

Power sector also sort of comes in infrastructure, small dams, solar initiatives etc need to be promoted so electricity is locally produced as much as possible.

THe whole outlook of a few cities need to be changed so the improvement shows, like SS did to Lahore, PTI needs to do it with Peshawar and a couple of other main cities like Kohat, Mardan etc.

3-Terrorism and rehabilitation:

Terrorism is an issue that needs cooperation b/w province and centre, both need to be on the same page. FATA ops will be under federal, but the other instances of terror activities in main cities need to be sorted out.

Refugees rehabilitated and properly taken care of.

Feel free to add more.

PML-N knows making government with 1/3 seats will be nightmare for PTI. No political parties can perform well with so much of external support. PTI should try to get independent candidates into PTI folds rather than demanding external support. Otherwise maintain status quo and get another election and win with clear majority.

Pervez khattak is from my halka NA 5 noshera. We voted for his NA 5 seat and pk 12 khaliq ur Rehman seat. We have good relation with pervez khattak. It make me proud to be a khattak. Hope to see lots of development in KPK. My dad already congratulated his family. But everyone is saying this is just the beginning , he has to set an example of awesome governance and full fill the dream of Imran khan. I hope PTI keeps about 8 ministers .

Hows his credibility in the area?

I had to lodge my protest, at the unfairness of the battle. Indeed, we were unprepared for such unprecedented amount of fraud. I am not in the greed for any offices, i don't wish for power, i am already from a privileged section of the society. This was the first time my mother came out to vote, the first time my dad voted after early 90s and my younger brother voted for the first time, along with 300+ extended family members to PTI,mainly because i had convinced them to. Only to go in vanity, only to see a crook being elected a crook who seriously assaulted my classmate a young middle class PTI worker and later an elected candidate last year, while he was breaking his fast, only because he challenged this crook, this sort of **** hurts badly.

What Unfairness?

Karachi rigged; everybody knows this throughout polling time on 11th May, JI & other parties Boycotted elections in the afternoon of the same day ………Now compares it with your crying in Punjab, In the whole polling time no substantial complaint coming out and its only in the night when results visible on screen IK & PTIANS knows what happened to them.

And its only on the directives of IK, PTIANS start complaining on web and other places, IK showing total immaturity, no sportsmanship, he didn’t yet congratulate NS instead spreading anarchy from hospital bed to whole of Pakistan………….!!

Remember, In the landslide victory in Punjab we lost our great stalwarts i.e. ch. Nisar, Hanif Abbasi, Sardar Mehtab......but didn't cry like your cocroch leader!

I could understand what you are feeling, but we have to think in positive only for country's interests. We are living in society where extremism rules in most of case and sometime it put bad impressions on those who want to do something in favour of country, and this attitude should be condemned. I hope that PTI will prove itself in KPK and make a lesson for others to follow.
