Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has asked the intellectuals, judiciary, journalists and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that whether there is any law that would give them justice if a corrupt government comes in power.
He asked this while addressing the particiopants of a PTI rally in Sahiwal on Saturday.
He asked the intellectuals, judiciary, journalists and election commission that whether there is any law that will hold a government accountable of its wrongdoings if it does rigging and comes in power. He said that the election tribunal did not give them justice for one and a half year.
He said that once a corrupt government comes in power then all the doors that lead to justice are closed. He said that they give Rs ten billion to the Pakistan Television (PTV) every year which in return stands by the corrupt government.
Khan said that today, every citizen owes Rs 90,000 to the international organisations bacause the country is not able to give the loans back due to the wrong policies of the government. He said that the country which lacks justice and rule of law could never progress.
He said that for the past 67 years, only one class is ruling in the country after masking its real identity. He said that Mir Shakeelur Rahman, Geo and Jang news group are in the pockets of leaders of the country.
Khan said that today the Pakistani population does not have potable water, education and employment under the rule of the current government.
He said that they are not making a ‘London Plan’ infact, the government is making a ‘London Plan’ and that the government is afraid of ‘tsunami’ of justice in Pakistan.
He also said that citizens’ lives and properties could not be protected until there is rule of law in the country.
Khan said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N’s) Sardar Aurangzeb has given a statement today that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Police is far better than the Punjab Police. He also said that for the government, politics is just a way to make money and use authority for their personal interests.
He said that not a single country in the West practices the kind of authority Pakistani politicians do.
He also said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif gave Maryam Nawaz Sharif, his daughter, authority over a project worth 100 billion whereas there are many capable people in the country who could have pulled off that project more efficiently.
He said that the ‘new Pakistan’ would have better hospitals, efficient police and better living standard of the citizens.
Khan also said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) National Accountability Bureau (NAB) would not be a corrupt institution. Heinstructed head of the NAB, General Hamid Gul to nab the culprits irrespective of their class and designations.
Khan said that there would be rule of merit in ‘new Pakistan’ and that the people of the villages would be able to decide whether they want to use the funds to build a bridge or better the sewage system.
He furhter said that 70 percent members of the assemblies who are workshirkers and escape from their duties as citizens would have to give the taxes.
