Aren't there any SOPs in the PA for 'road opening' drills? All main roads especially where convoys and senior officers are to move are secured by road opening parties much before any movement takes place. Their tasks are to look for and diffuse/neutralize IEDs and prevent ambushes by the insurgents along the route.

This however requires additional troops to be deployed at various locations from where such parties move out at least 3 hours before any movement takes place. This is the only way such attacks can me minimized or totally prevented.

If no such SOPs exist, then expect more such attacks and more casualties in future.

how many sop,s you follow, if it comes it comes?
they hve the finiest of SOPs with them, they kept following them, thts why they been sussscess full in SAWAT, & TIRAH VALLEYS,?

To all those who are going gaga against peace talks with TTP, can any one tell me what result we have after 9 years long war in FATA? 9 fking years have gone down the drain and our mighty army is not able to terminate few thousand scumbags, what more will army achieve if we continue this war for few more years? u r spot on brother... after years of fighting what is the result ? ... zero , WE HAVE LOST THIS WAR ... the sooner we realise the better if u don't believe me look at statistics ... I hav been an active solider myself and i know fighting an 'unseen' enemy puts a solider in a state of constant fear and they end up becoming psycos ... really , whatever we hav left is if we could negotiate a settlement now ...IK offers the army a safe way to exit from this humiliation. We can all blame it on IK (and not the army) if this truce fails ... who is rescuing the army ?
