PTI government has admitted that the Metro bus was Lahore’s cheapest project.

A report submitted in the National Assembly by the Department of Transportation revealed that the total cost for the Metro bus Project was Rs. 29.61 billion.

According to the report, LDA constructed the Metro Bus Project for the Punjab government. An average of 137,000 people is taking advantage of this project on daily basis.

The fare for one sided route of Metro Bus Service is Rs 30 as per the flat rate. The Lahore Metro Bus project was completed in 2013.

Report also revealed that PTI had been putting allegations for this project to cost up to Rs. 60 billion in the past. PMLN political rivals used to refer to the Metro Bus Lahore as “Jungla Bus”.

How is metro costing 400 billion rupees cheaper?
Its enough to build BRT all over the country

And how is lahore BRT cheaper when peshawar BRT which is bigger longer with complete depo building and buses acquistion still almost costing the same and much cheaper afer adjusting for inflation & buses acquistion?

Everyone is okay with kick backs and corruption as long as work is done but are not okay with cost??

Okay with metro kick backs as long as it built..but not okay with metro subsidy

Okay with power plants kick backs as long as ita built but not okay with electricity cost

Okay with gas imports and kick backs(qatari letters) but not okay with cost and these gas suppliers defaulting when gas becomes expensive??

That's shameful despite hosting best public transport in the country the numbers are way too low for a city of 12 million with atleast a couple of million daily commuters into the city.
