ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has quietly introduced amendments to the Rules of Business, 1973 giving more powers to advisers and assistants to the prime minister, a private news channel claimed.

The report says that the incumbent government has amended subsection 12 of Rule 20, empowering the advisers and special assistant to PM Imran Khan at par with the ministers, who take oaths under the Constitution of Pakistan.

Following the amendment, the advisers and assistants to the PM, who assume their offices without taking oath under the Constitution, are now authorized to access the sensitive documents, including confidential summaries and agreements with other countries, of the state.

Earlier, there was mention in the Rules of Business that only minutes of the cabinet meeting will only be shared with the ministers.

(12) The Cabinet Secretary shall circulate to the Ministers a copy of the above record for perusal and return within 24 hours of issue.

The amendment, which was reportedly passed by the federal cabinet on September 5, was not mentioned by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry as he was briefing the media about the decision taken by the cabinet.

The news channel further claimed that all ministries have been asked to bring 65 copies of the summaries, which will be discussed in the cabinet meeting, in order to distribute them among the ministers, advisers, and special assistants.

Good. We need Presidential system in Pakistan but since we don't this is the next best thing.

This system is crappy, dysfunctional and obsolete but since we have no immediate solution so the govt has to think out of the box and make it work until we are ready to change the structure but I guess before that we need economy above a certain threshold.

.
This is just the start, the whole media and these PPP's and PMLN's will stay busy in making fun of PTI's austerity drive and the real magic is happening behind the curtains.
If you really think about it, it's a pretty genius move to keep them busy in petty issues and pull the rug from under their feet while they are busy in screaming with their fellow libtards.

Bureaucratic red tape needs to be reduced and it seems giving access to consultants to needed documentation and contract work is needed to speed up proper advice to Prime Minister to do their Job for which they were hire for

Awaiting for time when TV channels will be finally hit for Tax evasion and questionable anti state reporting

Pakistani TV & Airwaves cannot be used to attack Pakistani Military and State of Pakistan itself.

Laws need to be Introduced to ask each TV channel licence holder if they have Overseas Banks where their workers maintain Bank accounts or not

As long as our national security is not compromised they can do what they want.

Prime Minister's main job is take decisions and Sign on Orders

He still needs Experts in each field to Advice him, with specific education , past experience , and knowledge in specific domains in order for him to understand the problem better.

Can't make Medical policy with out having an expert in Hospital Management matters
Can't make Economic policy unless Financial experts on economy are there to explain policy impacts
Can't make Petroleum policy unless Experts from Petroleum & Power segment are there to explain challenges
Can't make trade policy unless Experts in Trade matters between Pakistan and other nation can advice on such areas
Can't make policy on Education , unless experts exist to advice on improving existing processes
Can't make manufacturing policy unless people exist who have lead manufacturing companies
Can't make telecommunication policy unless people exist who can tell him about options in that industry
Can't make Agricultural policy improvement unless experts are gathered in that segment

Advisors are there to guide , and they need documentation to understand the full picture

And anyone in such prominent role as Advisers I am sure they are checked by ISI Services

Please use your grade 20 officers in function they are hired for!
Any how where's the transparency part in hiring?
Last but not least, i hope in first couple of weeks your experts would chart out policy about every thing, let me know when its read to read!

.
I personally favor bring in Experts , for all designated fields

8-) Merit is education and experience

Excellent initiative bring in Consultants if needed who have run large Multi Billion Dollar corporations ideally. Those are always the ideal people who understand their own specialization areas the best

There is nothing drastic about security in these documents , as they are not related to National Defense.

. . .
The minutes of the cabinet meeting should be available to general public except the matters related to national security. All other sensitive/secret material should not be given to unauthorized people. If it is very necessary so these rules should be passed by the parliament after thorough discussion.

Those who invested heavily needs their share.....

I.K compromise many things...

Khuda Khair karey….
Do you have any information about transfer of shujaat ullah qureshi ex-IB chief and other five senior directive officers?
