Well, what I see is that the top management of GF is totally clueless and hence it is wise to sell any shares in it so, it is a good business decision by Abu Dhabi. However, what you're implying is not true. On the contrary, the semi-conductor industry is very important moving forward in future.

Yes the management of ATIC bungled it up. I however did not imply that Pakistan doesn't need a semi-conductor industry. It seems too far fetched "at the moment" because of budgetary constraints and the fact that we do not have the skilled labor or the expertise to prop up such an industry.

Global foundries management is as stupid as it gets by being in California or being owned by mubadla doesn't makes a company best performing its management/shareholders must have an understanding of the business, a vision for future and its offerings should be competitive, GF has been losing to TSMC for a long time, GF revenue was 5.5 billion dollars in 2016 as compared to TSMC which had a revenue of $30 odd billion.

Every one who needs to know, knows GF is shit because its management and owners are idiots.
