No one will trust the GOP and open business just sticks with plot in DHA. The only thing this gov “well” did was to get rid of their nab cases and ensure that we can never prove their thievery. PSX is a casino. It does not reflect anything. Check it’s market capitalization. Even a medium sized investor can manipulate it.

Imposing a super tax on Industry and not on real estate. Is this not a nudge for industrialists to invest there ?

Real estate is already oversaturated in Pakistan. Thats why Pakistan has a huge economy, but barely any exports. Wealthy people come to the country to invest and are advised to park their money in land rather than anything productive. Housing societies are springing up in every city and town, but theres barely any factories being built.

Another thing is that feudalist politicians like NS and Zardari will never allow land reforms or taxes, whereas ordinary industries will have to deal with more taxes as well as poor electricity supply, poor governance, and massive red tape in order to function.
