India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), in its 46th flight, will launch the Kalamsat and Microsat-R from the First Launch Pad (FLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota on January 24, 2019.

PSLV is a four stage launch vehicle with alternating solid and liquid stages. The PSLV with 2 strap-on configuration has been identified for this mission and the configuration is designated as PSLV-DL. PSLV-C44 is the first mission of PSLV-DL and is a new variant of PSLV.

In PSLV-C44, the fourth stage (PS4) of the vehicle will be moved to higher circular orbit so as to establish an orbital platform for carrying out experiments. Kalamsat, a student payload will be the first to use PS4 as orbital platform.

PSLV-C44 will also carry Microsat-R, an imaging satellite

From Scout to SLV and Agni-1.You had to accept it that without aid from USA's Scout model,Germany providing wind tunnels to test your minor modifications in design of Scout,France providing liquid fuel engine technology and Russia's SA-2 missile reference you couldn't have come this far.

Yes we are far ahead of you guys!! Must be hard for you to admit.

And without Tesla and Edison, there is no AC and DC. Or without the early homo sapiens, we could've never invented the wheel. What's your point? That's how technology develops. There is always someone who develops and share, people later develop on them.
The thing you need is will and interest in developing it. Then you can look for funding in case you want to buy certain technology, that's how India got hands on USSR rockets. We cooperated with a lot of space agencies, brought help from wherever we can get and developed our own.

The important thing you need is again interest and will to develop sciences. Money is not an issue.

Sure, we used foreign assistance to start off ISRO but it is absolutely disingenuous of you to suggest that somehow without the said assistance we couldn't have come this far.

Our scientists had it in their collective minds to absolutely make India a space faring nation and if the said western nations had refused to help us, ISRO would just have had to reinvent the wheel, but India would be vindicated.
At best these collaborations just expedited the process known as ISRO, we would have gotten this far eventually, at worst without the assistance it would have just taken a bit longer.

Pakistan got american assistance in its earlier rockets too, pakistan launched rockets before India and later on had the constant coddling of the chinese, but where is SUPARCO now?

yah indeed you are far ahead in stealing technology as now you are getting much through MTCR and kaveri engine through France and I can continue to mention other sources.

Rubbish.
Steal what? Any country that assisted us did so of their own volition. Envy really is an ugly thing.

Also, France is just veryfying, auditing the Kaveri and not providing materials or directly developing Kaveri with GTRE, infact a similar proposal was rejected by the IAF.

And what bloody proof do you have that MTCR countries share missile technology amongst each other?

If those nations had refused than it was sure that it would taken you a very long time to establish your program.

Yah but india was helped not just in sending sounding rockets but what I have mentioned above as well.

Will you please cut the crap?
simple things are simple to understand so there is no use in trying to invert its meaning and besides whether it's veryfying, auditing or examining or whatever it would still count as a help and of course they are teaching you to make the materials.
And what bloody proof do you have that MTCR countries share missile technology amongst each other?
isn't brahmos a potent proof for you?
how you get the range increasing technology and ramjet technology through it.

. .
Mission Successful.

"Very long time" is a very relative term.
IMO it would have taken a little longer.
Infact, if you look at our cryogenic engine development program, US sanctioned us through MTCR, used CIA, and moles inside our own IB against ISRO to stop the latter from developing cryogenic engines, even forced the cucked Yeltsin to make Glavkomos back out on its contract with ISRO.
But they still couldn't stop us, it took us a bit longer than it did for any other country that developed a cryo engine but we still got it and now we have a second cryo engine that produces almost triple the thrust of the first one and is based on a completely different gas generator cycle engine.

And this happened because our political leadership and our scientists were extremely motivated to get India to the top spot.

Similarly, look at our artillery program, after adopting a self imposed artillery ban after the Bofors scandal we came up with the ATAGS a world class arti gun on our own.

Yah but india was helped not just in sending sounding rockets but what I have mentioned above as well.

So what?
ISRO used foreign expertise only to catch up to the leaders in space.
Adopting tech from other nations and then indegenizing them isn't easy and there's more indigenous work goes into it than you would like to admit.
And if it was so easy, SUPARCO would have been toe to toe with ISRO today, but it isn't.

Will you please cut the crap?

"Help" is not making the Kaveri for us.
Also no, they are not teaching us to make materials. LOL.

You realize more countries can make nukes than they can make turbofan powerplants?
Turbofans are in the top of the list for "things not to share with everyone willy nilly". No one shares how to make scbs, no one shares how to develop and then put in variable geometries in turbofans. LOL

What the French are basically doing is they have some facilities which we don't for testing some functions of turbofan engines and due to them having more experience in the field, they can tell us whether if it is safe to test Kaveri which GTRE DEVELOPED.

So no, they are not teaching us to make materials, that is just absurd.
No country will share turbofan tech with any other country and if they were helping us, rest assured we would have said so outright and not hidden it.
For example, the Indo-French turboshaft engine HAL-Turbomeca Shakti.

isn't brahmos a potent proof for you?

Umm no, we didn't unilaterally increased or claim to increase the range of Brahmos.
Russia is still helping us like Russia was helping us with BrahMos way before we joined MTCR, get your facts straight.

And who bloody told you we have acquired the knowhow for the Brahmos ramjet engine? Where are you coming up with this s#it?

And like I said if we do take help from another country we say so outwardly.

what is brahmos-2 then and before you were bounded to have its range of 290km but after joining MTCR you are able to create brahmos 2 so indications are very clear that you get the technology from Russia.
And who bloody told you we have acquired the knowhow for the Brahmos ramjet engine? Where are you coming up with this s#it?
brahmos is a ramjet powered cruise missile so of course you get it from Russia through MTCR.

So you think you have made a successful turbofan? Well, this guy will tell you that how good you are in making turbofans, turbojets etc @Han Patriot

Did you even read my riposte?
Of course Russia is giving us the ramjet engine and we NEVER CLAIMED that we are making it.

brahmos is a ramjet powered cruise missile so of course you get it from Russia through MTCR.

Again, MTCR has nothing to do with it, we were getting the ramjet engines for BrahMos from Russia before we joined the MTCR.

So you think you have made a successful turbofan? Well, this guy will tell you that how good you are in making turbofans, turbojets etc @Han Patrio/USER

Nope, never said we have a successfully inducted turbofan, stop with the strawman arguments just coz you were proven wrong.
