Kashmir Warriors 6th PSL Team to Play 3rd PSL 2018

PCB Announced Kashmir Warriors is the 6th PSL Team to Play 3rd PSL 2018. Kashmir Warriors is the name of 6th PSL Team that will be played 3rd PSL Session 2018. The proposal to add a 6th team in the 3rd edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was cooperatively turned down by franchisees and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The PCB and owners of the 5 PSL franchise met in Lahore to debate the possibility of adding a 6th team in the 2017 edition.

The first season trophy was reserved by the Misbah teams, where they won the toss and chose to field and Together the teams played the immense match against the Peshawar Zalmi and reached to the final match. The PSL franchises purpose to acquire high revenue streams finished merchandising and therefore they are anxious about Lessing to revenue receipts by adding extra team. Thus, it was definite that the second edition will be conducted through 5 teams, the same number of teams in the previous edition of the PSL.

Together the teams played the immense match against the Peshawar Zalmi and reached to the final match afterwards winning the toss, Islamabad United decided to bowl first and gets the big total of 174 runs. The striking batting from the Ahmed Shahzad and Sangakkara sets the immense total, but the Smith and Haddin played fine for the team and won the match with the flawless batting line in the final match.


There were guesses that the proposed final in Pakistan would not go ahead following blasts in the city in the fresh weeks but the chief minister’s vote of self-assurance is another step in the T20 league making its home debut. In the 2nd season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 teams will participate nd In the final match closing ceremony Najam Sethi announced that the Kashmir team will be the next team of the PSL.

‘FATA team to participate in third addition of PSL’

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said there is no dearth of talent amongst students in FATA and providing of basic opportunities to them is need of the hour.

“The Government is focusing on flourishing not only curriculum activities but also co-curriculum activities as wel and in this regard a cricket team from FATA will be made to participate in the third addition of PSL,” he disclosed.

He expressed these views on the occasion of award distribution ceremony held in honor of position holders and teachers from FATA on their best performance.

On this occasion Secretary Social Sector Department FATA Yousaf Raheem, Secretary Production FATA Abdul Latif, Director Education FATA Hashim Khan, Additional Director Education FATA Muhammad Abbas Khan, students and teachers were also present.

The Governor awarded students from FATA with 10,000/- rupees each on standing first in respective specialty. Moreover, prizes amounting Rs.100,000 were awarded each to respective teachers hailing from FATA on their best performance.

On the occasion the Governor reiterated, “Government is focusing on improvement of education system.

In fact, he added, ensuring improvement in working of education and health sectors of FATA is the top most priority of the incumbent government which are expected to bring positive impact.

In this connection he said the FATA University has opened up in FATA”.

He said “dignified return and rehabilitation of TDPs to their native places, apart from strengthening health and education facilities is the top most priority and as part of such efforts education emergency has forced in FATA”. – APP

Yes, Najam Sethi says the sixth team but did not name yet I found Iqbal Zafar Jhagra saying that it is going to be FATA as quoted above. A bit complicated situation yet. How about to rename the thread w.r.t. Possible Sixth team for PSL-3 and let us gather relevant news in single place.

PSL 2018 to have 6 regional teams

MIRPUR (AJK): (APP) Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s team would be included in the next Pakistan Super League (PSL) with prime focus to encourage and promote cricket, besides other games, in Azad Kashmir.

The AJK minister for Sports, Youth and Culture Ch. Muhammad Saeed said speaking as Chief Guest at the prize distribution ceremony on the eve of the annual sports in Mirpur University of Science & Technology here Tuesday.

Gilgit-Baltistan cricket team will take part in Pakistan Super League next year- CM GB

GILGIT: Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman says Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will construct international level cricket stadium in Skardu.

Presiding over a briefing session organized by the Administration of Baltistan division, he said that Gilgit-Baltistan cricket team will take part in the Pakistan Super league in next year.

He directed the Baltistan administration to implement on solid waste management Company in Skardu to keep the city clean.

Chief Minister said a large number of hotels are being constructed Across Gilgit-Baltistan by private sector to facilitate the tourist.

He directed the administration to make arrangement to provide accommodation to the tourist in the coming season.-APP
