Actually we are an important nation, We are the only Muslim state with nukes. The world doesn't envy us but they do detest the day we became a nuclear power. On topic Geo is a irresponsible network, They run stories irrespective of their after effects(Just recall what Geo did after mumbai hoax), It's quite obvious that the policy makers of this channel are either noobs or the speculations are true & Geo really has an anti Pakistan agenda.

Yes Geo is irresponsible. I agree with that. Recent example is Hamid Mir episode where he interviewed supposedly an inside informant about Naval base attack. Channels are in a rat race with each, coupled with new found freedom and immaturity, some false reporting is bound to occur. This happens with other foreign channels as well. I am not a fan of Geo but i think foreign funding of Geo and a hidden conspiracy is something too much for me to digest. I am not saying it's not possible. Just the evidence of foreign funding of media is not that much enough to make me think that way.

As for being the important nation in the world, i wish we were. To the world we are, "mad people with nukes".

not a admirer of ppp's however one thing BB said very right democracy is the best revenge ...only that she forgot in her rage the same will apply on her party along with any & every one ... these leaders and media are reflecting us and this can only be changed when pakistanis decide their fate .. once wrong , than again .. there are no quick results. How could pakistanis make right choice there are big hurdles , most of the pakistan is rural thats where majority lives only their vote makes a difference not urban pakistanis vote and these peoples lives are occupied by fuedal lords economically bonded with the fuedals .. than comes the dictators intervening and that gives these leaders the sympathy .. its just not ending we have spent years and years like this

It is Ok for a TV drama to address this kind of issue as long as the issue is the Sardari System and not the Baloch people themselves and their values. We must not measure some other culture with our own yard sticks.

the perception is different among the Balouch as compared to our perception of the their system, it is a Propaganda against them, so and so would lead to perception building in negative direction, and it would help anti-peace forces to wage a war against them at some later point, as our perception being already manipulated, and most of us would back anti-peace forces, unlike in the case of murder of Nawab Bhugti, where people from across the Pakistan were outraged !!

Slow poisoning? There is no harm in showing uncomfortable realities. Media is free now and i understand that people are not comfortable with it. That's why they think that it's foreign funded media. Well there could be some truth in it but not all criticism is foreign funded. The criticism is genuine be it against Govt or military. Rather than worrying about media, our establishment should improve their performance. Criticism will go away.

There us no harm in showcasing the harsh realities of our society. Be it sardari system or Punjayet system, they are a blot on or society and humanity.

Yes slow poisoning. There is no harm in showing realities but it should be a 'reality'. But why negativity every time. If we just watch the media channels, it seems there is no good thing in Pakistan. I am myself against the sardari system or punchayat system. Compare our media with our neighbor, they call 'incredible india' while our media just pretend 'dangerous Pakistan'. Arent you aware of 'lifafa journalism'? These people are now sitting in TV channels. Intended false reporting is seen as well, like Geo TV's report on Ajmal Kasab. Free media is a bless for country, but there should be some limit.
