Just to add I agree with your comments but there is an other angle to it ,In US if you kill a man you will get 8 years but if you make tampering in food you will get life time in some cases they will put you away for the rest of life ,Irony is which one is bigger crime ,Looting or breaking constitution on top of that here debate is subjective Ehtasab and if it cross the board people will keep there mouth shut infact welcome them . My love for Musharraf and what he did with rule of law by letting both Nawaz and Zardari loose is special as I am from Karachi too.

There is no excuse that can justify prolonging the political life of the corrupt elitists as was done by Musharraf. He understood the stakes for the future of Pakistan, he really had a golden chance...But he blinked, looked the other way and then never looked straight from that moment on.

Considering the wealth enjoyed by Musharraf after his retirement despite confiscation of local assets by courts, I won't be surprised if the deal with Nawaz and Zardari involved monetary exchange abroad between the culprits or their foreign guarantors and (in favour of) Musharraf.

This is exactly why I admire the current top brass for not repeating the mistakes of the past, standing for rule of law and setting higher standards of professionalism rather than personal gain, political or otherwise.

Had Musharraf taken this path then Pakistan would have been leaps and bounds ahead instead of being stuck with the same corrupt lot. Let's move on.
