problems with alkhalid tank

.
He often discuss tanks from state of art armored capabilities that are 'latest' anywhere in World. For example, AK is definitely a generation behind when compared with likes of Black Panther, T14, M1A2 SEPV2, Leo2A7...
But when we observe the armored threat we face, i.e. T90S & T72M, then AK/AK1 is a good tank sufficient to counter the threats which can be posed across the Western front.
agreed alkhalid is much better than arjun any day.

This video highlights the problems in our MBT are they true? and if so what steps can be taken to improve them
Suppose a HEAT round takes out the ERA bricks, will the MBT suddenly become vulnerable since ERA was its sole protection ?
What really protects a MBT ? its armor ? ERA? APS?
What happened to Syrian Tanks ? Turkish Leo2A4?

Before 6TD-2 engine was installed in AK, Pakistan was using T-80 with 6TD engine. If the 6TD engine was so unsatisfactory, why would Pakistan go for 6TD-2 for AK ?

.
Technical support was received only for the chassis and suspension. It's not like K9-T155 Firtina or MBT2000-AK.
AK is not a copy. It was based on a chinese prototype which never went into production.

It uses no chinese subsystems. Im not sure about K2 v Altay but both look very similar. Perhaps based on K2 with Turkish subsystems & some european systems?

Oplot M also uses the same engine & is heavier than AK.

Unlike the eastern block countries, things are not hidden in us. Most of the Altay subsystems were already developed for leo and m60 modernizations before the altay project. Tender for the new tank was given to Türk Otokar. When the project reached a certain level, it was decided that the most suitable tanks for the Land Forces were Leo and K2. Using diplomatic relations, he worked as Hyundai Rotem technical support provider for issues missing from Otokar. + Turkey shows at fairs all sub-systems used in the tank, eastern bloc countries (Pakistan, Iran, etc.) from 1950 remain do not see anything else like some of the photos from appearing.

Yeah I have never seen a nation so incompetent like Bhartis - who can basically take the best components and design of a proven world class MBT like the Leopard (I believe 2A4 version) and completely f*ck it up by messing with the design over some four decades and after spending hundreds of millions of dollars, got an overweight elephant on their hands.

Bhartis nickel and dime everything like the Kanjoosis they naturally are - but lose hundreds of millions with no accountability or repercussion.

The Abrams borrowed many design cues and components from the early and mid-version Leopards and so did the Merkava. Both of those are excellent MBT's, especially the Abrams which uses a Turbine engine in contrast with the Leopard's diesel. How could these American or Israeli MBT's develop in half the time and with half the money? Neither of those nations have 'Indian lethargy' or 'Chalta hai attitude'.

But its one thing to not know the first thing about tank design or having any expertise, quite another to waste hundreds of millions by stretching 'development' over four (now almost five) decades like the Bhartis did, and finally, trying to buy stopgap tanks like the T-90MS to add insult to injury.

But talk to any Sanghi - they're all glowingly complementary about this failure of a behemoth tank, which will have some vedic power attached to it in the battlefield. If it's got the Indian flag on it - it's got to be great - right?

Anyways - good for Pakistan I guess....

Dude its an old video everyone has watched it.....

Hogwash, incorrect info based on the type-90II. This guy needs to do his homework properly before coming up with such videos.
He is right. Consultant Sahb...

Thermal image for the commander is not available....ok...not great but the gunner has it
you don't know anything about tanks don't you.
Commander is the one who looks for the Targets

Explain how hunter-killer system works.

Explain how hunter-killer system works.
“Hunter killer capability” refers to a tank equipped with dual independent sights and supporting fire control hardware/software in order to allow the gunner and commander to track and acquire two separate targets at the same time

Explain how hunter-killer system works.
Or in layman language independent sights for Gunner and commander....
