75 billions... ????? this is waste of money on an ill planned project.
Better build new houses with this money for the people living in poorly constructed houses around nala.

The Rs65 billion project has been pending for decades

Work on the long-awaited Leh Expressway starts today as Prime Minister Imran Khan has given his go ahead for the development project.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid confirmed the premier's approval.

The 17-kilometre road will be constructed on both sides of the Leh Nullah.

The interior minister said residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi will be facilitated after construction of the road.

The Rs65 billion project has been pending for decades. It aims to address the issue of traffic congestion in the garrison city.

The project is expected to be completed in two years

This is great news, hopefully the project will be completed in stipulated schedule.

Work has already started? who are the private partners? who is gonna build this? what is the timeline?

You would have still criticized had he done the exact same, spare us the theatrics.

Theatrics or not... but you are challenging me without any logic. Reason of such dumb remarks can only be of personal nature... right!
Otherwise, you would prove my criticism wrong with convincing logic, of which obviously you are least qualified.

I dare you or any one from ruling clergy to explain, what exactly are they trying to achieve here with this project? besides real estate business at the cost of 77 billion of tax payer money!!!

If corrupt ruling clergy was any bit sincere with people around null lai, they would evacuate them from there ill built house, where life is miserable and shift them to the new houses in healthy environment.
Modestly estimating, with 77 billion, 16'000 new house can be built, which will also be compliant to international building code.
All the evacuated land can be turned into a forest, which would grow fast due to presence of nulla and will help reduces sickness rate of the people in surroundings.

So the bottom line remains, either the ruling clergy and tiger force is full of donkeys or they are promised US visa if they turn Pakistan into an economic and infrastructural waste.

I challenge all civil engineers of Pakistan, to visit the houses around nulla lai and explain how are they safe to live in, of course considering engineering codes and standards.
If answer is NO, than the crime which is about to happen is bigger than corruption of 77 billion.

This picture is total propaganda.... and is meant for the consumption of masses who are not from Rawalpindi.
I doubt, if this picture is from Pakistan!!
Govt. of Pakistan do not provide work clothes to the cheap slaves like labor they use on projects, of course in co-operation with contractor.

Logic and you are antonyms.
Writing lengthy posts doesnt make you an expert, it only shows your biasedness. I just pointed out the obvious.

How can i make my case without writing and this is why corrupt people dislike me, for pointing at their corruption... my case is for every one to see, while your case is weak or perhaps missing besides personal remarks.

As i have pointed how ruling clergy is using false pictures to mislead the public, is an open evidence of malafied practice and intent.

Keeping eyes closed on corruption around, which is being built upon blood money is a big crime.

Its BOT project. 80% budget will be from private investment.

BoT projects are MoC (mother of all corruption). In case of private investment, contract with state must be made public and approved by parliament.

In simple words, future generations of Pakistan will pay for the profit of few.

You raised some interesting questions. However having spent some time around this area last year I can confirm RWP badly needs new transport corridors. Not only this route but the ring roads need to be built fast. This would help the massive congestion that you see around the centre of RWP.

With regards to housing that is separate issue. With new ring roads being built large areas will open up for housing and I hope the Naya Housing project establishes some colonies along the newly opened areas.

Some people in Govt became billionaire instantly......lols
