President’s Arunachal visit irks China

The people of arunachal pradesh are indin and ferverently want to remain indian. They have no wish to do anything with china and after seeing the slow destruction of their tibetian cousins, their culture and buddhist legacy across the border this feeling is only reinforced.I've been to AP .The people speak hindi commonly.

Playing around with rhetoric doesn't win you argument, stating fact does.

Fact: British-Chinese treaty of 1907 recognized Tibet as China.

From 1911, the end of monarchy and civil war preoccupied China. Fraction within Tibet claimed independence, but Tibet was legally bounded by Qing abdication of the throne. Know anything about treaty law?

It is crystal clear that UN and the entire world recognized Tibet as CHina, including India.

Tibet was a party in the treaty of 1914 and China had no objection towards it. China will accept one treaty from Britain but won't accept McMahon Line, what a contradiction.:wacko:

Was their any legal abdication by Qing, Puyi never signed a abdication document. Later on he collaborated with Japanese to revive his Qing Dynasty with his royal loyalists to form Manchukuo.

i repeat again,what treaty????show the link...
plus, how come an from an entire province,China only wanted a part of in within 7 years??plus, all evidence I got suggested that during 19th and 20th century,if not from far ago,Tibet was largely autonomous.they declared independence after Qing Empire collapsed.

Autonomous, not independent, by your own admission. Tibet was legally bounded by Qing emperor abdication of the throne to the new republic. The world recognized it, UN recognized it, International court recognized it.

nobody recognized it,not even China wanted it in 1914.they just claimed a portion of Tibet and Suzerainty(control of Foreign Relation).and legally bounded???an empire is breaking, which legal jurisdiction can be imposed on breakaway states???they gained their independence and retained it for nearly 40 years.

The world recognized it. 40 yrs because of various civil wars and WW2. Tibet is legally bounded by Qing abdication.

Go file a lawsuit on against UN for recognizing Tibet, and India too.

LOL...UN doesn't recognize Tibet as part of China as Annexation by force is in violation of Article 2(4) of UN charter.Tibet even applied for UN membership in 1949..

desparate noob coming here with false info.

In history sometimes China was a part of Tibet and sometimes the other way round, but finally Tibet was separate from China at the time of British leaving and China and India becoming new free countries. The rulers of Tibet were Dalai Lamas for over 400 hundred years, never in history under anyone but always an independent authority.

China has no historical or logical grounds but only the grounds of Might is Right. Might is Right gives only temporary rights, depending mainly on the will of the weaker party. India is being gradually forced into a corner by Pakistan and China. The 26/11/2008 attacks were the last straw on the camel's back. Indians in general have found new inspiration to fight off the enemy and are busy preparing for a fight to the finish and not even trying to hide it. It is difficult to imagine this new self confident and aggressive India going down to any country or group without a big fight. It is a certainty that great wars are to be fought in this region, this time for final decision.

All 4 other permanent security council member Recognized Tibet as China

Indians all butthurt about Tibet, but your govt recognized its part of China

Tibet historically belonged to China for hundreds of years, AP was never part of any indian kingdoms, hence the need for Simla Accord between the Chinese and the British. There was no India yet.

Hi do you know that Arunachal Pradesh finds itself in Indian mythology in the puranas and even in the Mahabharata.

and while signing the shimla accord The Chinese representative had no problems with the border between British India and Outer Tibet; however on the issue of the border between Outer Tibet and Inner Tibet the talks broke down. So basically China didn't claim Arunachal in the past until recently.

even prior to 1962 China had no interest in Arunachal and was ready to give away the claim on the territory to India in exchange of Aksai chin but India failed to accept the offer.

At the end of the day, It is the people of Arunachal Pradesh who have shown their earnest desire to stay within Indian Union and this is what matters most. So, whatever archaic maps or mythological fairy tales say about this region, this state is going to glued with India only.

Mythology are not exactly real history. According to Chinese mythology, Jade Emperor ruled all land between Heaven and Earth.

China had interest but was willingly compromise, so to resolve the border dispute. But Nerul refused, insisted on Machon line, and launched his forward policy.

Arunchal and the entire North East, aka 7 Sisters States, never belonged to any Indian kingdom, much less India. When British created India in 1947, NE was not part of India. After India was created, it then went on a hegemonic campaign against other princely states, Hyderabad, Kashmir, NE... That is the true face of India foreign policy, or "Forward policy." Somehow all indians here are oblivious to this piece of theirs own history. And they like to talk about chinese aggression, LOL.
But the people of Arunchal and the seven sisters state seem to be willing to remain in the Indian Union. Also they have a cultural and religious connection.

Discussing South Tibet which is a province of Tibet according to China.
