I dont know if it is going to help women but it will be good for the children who are living in the jails with there mothers.

I think those women (who havent committed terrorism, murder, or any major crime that would lead her to become a serious threat to society) with toddlers should be released. They were put in there for a reason, lest we forget.

President also issued directives to end the discriminatory law against the women and directed the government to go for comprehensive and effective legislation in this connection.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz told the meeting that government was working in effective manner to integrate women folk to national mainstream and bringing to end the outmoded and archaic customs.

Sounds good.

:) Yes i agree with Neo, Officer, Murdak

i think working for the women rights is good but to let all the criminal women free is not a realistic approach.

i would like to share my own experince last week i visited the Central Jail Peshawar Women Prison to distribute some medicines and neccesary items needed by women there.
hence i got the chance to listen to them and have inside stories and believe you me there are women there who had done a crime literaly.

Some were in Hudood Ordinence most of them Afghani women and they also charged with women traficking for prostitution.
Believe me they were no way looking any innocent, they as happy there as anything could moreover they get what they need,

(im working on an article on this so cudnt put up more info here)

There wr also good number of women who had been caught for drug traficking and i had collected the info they had done that.

So i dont think so they should be released yes we can do one thing and that is to provide the poor ones with better healthcare and legal assitance.
