President Erdoğan calls on Muslims to unite

There's a reason why Islam forbids nationalism, racism and tribalism. It clogs the mind from reason & logic and replaces that with over inflated ego and false pride. All sorts of atrocities can be justified under such pretext. No wonder its a trait of the age of ignorance. What's interesting is that westernes and their admirers in the muslim world foam at the mouth saying the world is a global village and getting smaller but on the other hand they cringe at hint of little cooperation between the muslim world.

The global village think is also a very shitty illusion, a nice tool of exploiting muslim lands. Technology will always be kept between them and muslims will be denied sensitive technologies and will always be exploited. Their markets will always remain protected where as muslims will fight between themselves in the name of western imposed agendas but they (westerners) do cooperate between themselves unconditionally.
They have learned all of this from the Muslims themselves. What the latters missed is to protect their technologies and advantages. In other words they were too good hearted, and the West who has taken advantage of that weakness has also learned not to be that good hearted.

Muslims are too diffrent to ever unite in a common political goal especially now in the times of secterian, nationalist and ideological conflicts.

You are right Muslim will never unite in political goal, because political and sectarian goals destroyed peace of whole world....
Muslim Countries can be unite on the very basics teachings of Islam and its a beauty of Muslim Unity it happen before and it can be done again, we just need little will power....

Don't try to divert topic here, we are sending TTP kharjis to Hell....

PRESIDENT CALLS ON MUSLIMS TO UNITE AGAINST CHAOS IN THE REGION
Addressing Islamic countries in his speech at COMCEC, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called for unity by Muslim countries to stop the bloodshed in the troubled region of Syria and Iraq

ISTANBUL —President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said on Thursday that the only way to overcome the crisis dominating the Islamic world is to create unity, solidarity and an alliance. Speaking at a ministerial meeting at the multi-national Organization of Islamic Conference (COMCEC), he called for Muslim countries to unite in the face of the chaos in the Middle East. The president said, "We [Muslim countries] can solve our problems only if we are united."

"Islamic countries, which have developed economically recently, have been experiencing the biggest humanitarian and political crisis in their history, simultaneously," the Turkish leader said.

"If we [as Muslims] act together, we will end the loneliness of Palestine that has continued for nearly a century... It is possible to end the bloodshed in Iraq and killing of Syrian children if we unite." Erdoğan called on the Muslim world to take action over the crises in Syria and Iraq, saying: "Please look at the picture and understand who wins and who loses from these killings and clashes?"

Erdoğan was particularly critical of the U.N., saying: "While the United Nations stands idly by, the bloodshed of children, the Organization of the Islamic Conference cannot remain quiet."

"Has the United Nations found a solution to what has been happening [in Syria, Iraq] so far? Does the U.N. have justice?" he said. "You cannot expect justice from a body that does not have justice at all."

Praising the recent development of Islamic countries in terms of trade, the president said: "The margins of Islamic countries in world trade have increased by around 50 percent in the last 10 years."

Also on Thursday, the president issued a written statement regarding his remarks on women's rights and equality when he addressed the First International Women and Justice Summit in Istanbul on November 24.

Highlighting that Erdoğan's remarks about women's issues had been misinterpreted and taken out of context, the statement said, "His [Erdoğan's] words were meant to recognize the unique qualities between the genders and highlight that there are differences that should be respected and not ignored."

Touching on the conceptual differences between "equality" and "equivalent," the statement explained the semantic difference between these words in line with Erdoğan's remarks and said, "This is a defining difference and it is indeed true that men and women are fundamentally different in terms of molecular construct from DNA to physical attributes and very few would argue that. But what is the important part that is being omitted due to misinterpretation, and what lay at the heart of President Erdoğan's message, was that despite not being equal i.e., in size, shape, degree and make-up, it is imperative that all be treated equivalently, the value of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities."

In his speech, which sparked controversy in the international media, Erdoğan said "What women need is to be able to be equivalent, rather than equal, so it is justice. That is what we need."

"The president's speech does make attributions to women's value as mothers in society and it is clear that he expresses his appreciation for all mothers including his own. This special role needs to be recognized and celebrated for its importance in the functioning of a healthy society," the statement added in reference to Erdoğan's description of Islam as "giving a higher rank to women, which is that of motherhood."

"The equality between women and men in society is what the Turkish government strives for, as demonstrated by the many measures it has taken to achieve this goal. It also strives for justice for all of its citizens so each is treated fairly under the law," concluded the statement.

LOOOL Muslims uniting? I will even believe Africa can unite than muslims uniting to be honest.:D The hate the shias and Sunnis alone have for each other is greater than the hate they have even for Israel. And im not even talking about other issues/differences they have among themselves in the region. So i will just stop with this point.:P So forget about Muslims uniting. Erdogan should first make sure he protects his own Turkey in the first place. Since he went from Zero problems with neighbours to Problems with almost all neighbours.

We just need to add some straight forward points to the Foreign Policy of Muslim Countries and slowly slowly it will become your nightmare....

Muslims will have to and will unite and bullies like USA and Israel and India will be soon dealt with

Brother your comment shows that you have some different point of view with Mr Erdogan....
But this also shows that you are worried for the Unity of Muslims....
And this is because you are also the part of Muslim Unity....

You're right, why would any Muslim have a problem with Muslim unity - there is safety and strength in numbers, even if i think selfishly, unity is better for me.

My problem is people are playing games with Muslim emotions - they pull us from one extreme to another and make us do foolish things. Some idiots on this forum were even praising ISIS a few months ago because they said the right things. It shows that even monsters can fool people with religion. I don't believe religion should be the basis for politics.

He didn't say anything wrong and that seem to be itching your twisted sorry self.

The problem with the muslim world are dalals and hypocrites who suffer from an inferiority complex.

Once again you've proved to be a fool with a one dimensional world view, you will dance to the tune of any piper that plays the right song!

It's why you can't be analytical and why your self-righteous BS can't be taken seriously. YOU have announced on this thread that Muslim unity precludes Shia's now too, anyone else Internet Mufti?

Shame on you camel head.Shitty comment. We select on ability.People kill in the name of Allah & still you follow Islam..You gotta be amazed as Indian Muslims support this Butcher...

Shame on you duck head. if you select leader on the ability of killing minorities then God help minorities in India.

Why do some people fear Muslim unity ? Is it because you have wronged us in the past or are wronging us now and thus fear the vengeance that will be brought upon their heads ? Do they fear that with Muslim unity their nationalist agendas will crumble ? Is it the fear that with the unification of Muslims the shaky constructs that they have as a means to accrue power will become puny ?

I thought I was the only one who noticed how the thought of Muslim unity makes a bunch of people wet themselves.
