President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday acknowledged the unparalleled contribution and sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Army towards external and internal security of Pakistan, according to a statement of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The president expressed these remarks during a visit to General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. Upon arrival, Dr Alvi was received by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the statement added.

The president was presented Guard of Honour and he also laid floral wreath at Martyrs Monument and offered fateha.

The military's media wing said that the president and the army chief discussed regional developments and matters of national security. Dr Alvi was also apprised on operational preparedness ofPakistan Army, it added.

ISPR said that a briefing on cyber security was also given by the military's communication and Information Technology (IT) branch.

On the occasion, according to the statement, the president acknowledged unparalleled contribution and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan Army towards external and internal security of Pakistan.

"He also commended the army’s prowess in the field of Information Technology and coordination mechanisms with other services/stakeholders," the official communiqué read.

President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi visited GHQ today. Upon arrival, the President was received by Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa. The President was given a briefing on various aspects of national security and operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army, especially in cybersecurity by the Inspector General, Communication & Information Technology (IG C&IT), GHQ, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor and Director General, Command, Control, Communication, Computer and Intelligence (DG C4I) at C&IT Branch, GHQ, Major General Amjad Butt. The Principal Staff Officers of the GHQ were also present.

The guy who made Indians go bnanas - my contender for the next Chief of Army Staff.

Oct 2021 , as 3 LT Gens will retire & Gen Faiz will become corps commander i guess .
If Lt General Faiz wants to be in the list of 4 most senior guy to replace Bajwa as Army Chief when he retires so yes he has to become core commander. And that is why my guess is Lt General Asif Ghafoor could be next DG ISI

Every Army has that. You think Indian GHQ resembles some village ?

So just because Indian Army has that we should to? why such fancy and expensive things in a office which has a limited purpose... waste of money and resources at best.
