BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Premier Li Keqiang met with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Beijing on Wednesday, with both sides agreeing that maritime stability and maritime cooperation were of utmost importance.

Li praised the China-Vietnam relationship for its frequent high-level exchanges and cooperation in maritime, land and financial affairs.

The two countries should enhance strategic communication, cement trust and maintain high-level exchanges, he said, urging that China's "Belt and Road" initiative should be aligned with Vietnam's "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" plan, to boost industrialization and transformation of economic structure through capacity cooperation.

Li called on both sides to maintain maritime stability, strengthen maritime cooperation and cultural exchanges, and to encourage confidence in developing the China-Vietnam friendship.

A joint survey outside the bay mouth of Beibu Gulf should be launched as soon as possible, Li said, adding arrangements for the third China-Vietnam Youth Festival should be set in motion.

Phuc said healthy and stable ties with China were a Vietnam foreign policy priority.

Vietnam is ready to work with China to enhance high-level exchanges, trust and cooperation, and boost new progress of bilateral working groups on maritime, land and finance cooperation, he added.

Phuc said Vietnam expects to jointly safeguard maritime stability with China, and carry out maritime cooperation, in order to boost bilateral all-round strategic cooperative partnership.

Phuc is visiting China from Tuesday to Thursday. He will also attend the 12th China-ASEAN Expo to be held in Nanning in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

@Yorozuya I'm aware you don't trust the politicians from either party but I'm going to tag you here anyway.

China, Vietnam vow to promote healthy ties

BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli on Tuesday met with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Beijing.

Zhang welcomed Phuc to attend the 12th China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, which are scheduled from Sept. 18 to 21 in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of China-Vietnam diplomatic ties, said Zhang, suggesting the two sides enhance party-to-party exchanges and strategic communication, to ensure the sustainable, healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.

Zhang urged both sides to boost cooperation in maritime, land and finance, a strategy which was agreed on by the two countries in 2013 to enhance their partnership.

He called for an alignment between China' s "Belt and Road" initiative and Vietnam's "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" plan, in order to promote bilateral cooperation in areas such as industrial capacity, construction of cross-border economic cooperation zones, trade, infrastructure and investment.

He also suggested the two sides properly manage and control their differences, safeguard stability at sea, and push forward maritime cooperation.

Phuc said Vietnam always attached great importance to developing relations with China.

Vietnam is ready to work with China to maintain high-level contact, enhance political mutual trust and cultural exchanges, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and manage and control disparities, he said.

After the talks, Zhang and Phuc witnessed the signing of a number of cooperative documents.

Both sides need to give a little. But it is an unequal relationship. For Vietnam's own interest, Vietnam still need to be assertive and broaden ties so Vietnam can come to the table with more chips to bargain with.

Thanks for the tag but as you may know, these political words are meaningless to me. Your politicians always say these kind of stuff every year, even right before the 2014 oil rig skirmish (you can google for old xinhua/globaltimes articles if you dont believe me).

Anyway, as I was saying in another thread, that Chinese members (and Vietnamese) should stop creating threads related to Vietnam on PDF, good or bad. Just look at this thread, your countryman (and false flagger) inevitably trolled here, as usual. So its better if there are no Vietnamese related threads here. Moderation is biased against Viet memebers so its better for all Viet members to leave PDF and let you guys have all this section for yourself without any VN related topics. That way, all the VN-CN trolling and fighting will dissappear from this section. That is the best plan I think.

So he was in Nanning, China-ASEAN Expo, probably negotiating on the issue of illegal workers who are willing to get one third of normal salary of non-skilled Chinese workers.

un skilled chinese workers stop go to Vietnam too.
