About 25,000 people suffer kidney failure each year in Pakistan, but only 10 percent receive dialysis and less than 2 percent are able to get a transplant.

The World Health Oragnisation says a shortage of organs for transplant has fuelled a black market in places like China and Southeast Asia.
Poverty in Pakistan is forcing many people to illegally sell their kidneys with authorities struggling to stop the illegal practise.

"I have many problems now. You saw me washing the dishes. I even struggle to sweep. People talk about me when I haven't done my work but I don't tell them my secret. I gave birth to five children. I was in so much pain," said organ donor Bushra Bibi.

Seen this article..Yesterday posted on BBC too.

That's what happens when our people insist on taking their organs to heaven with them. Like they'll not be able to piss in heaven if they donated their kidneys and that would somehow constitute a problem.

Donate organs people! You don't need them after death but a lot of other people do!

.
and many people on PDF think that such people shouldn't have run to collect oil fuel from the overturned tanker. when these poor people are made to sell their organs for getting something for their families few litres of fuel must mean a lot for them. height of desperation. wait for some pakistani member to issue a fatwa.

anything increase in numbers become cheap we Pakistanis producing humans and humans are cheap in our country . for hell sake reduce population and poverty will be reduces automatically

LMAO.

One of my friends father rceieved kindey transplant but unforunately right after surgery he grew infection slipped into comma and passed away . Ppl should see post death organ donation as sadqah e jariah.
These ppl selll organs due to poverty. If kindey supply becomes sufficient even then they will have to opt for some other options to earn money.

This menace is not just confined to Pakistan, South Asia is considered as the world's biggest organ market.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), South Asia is now the leading transplant tourism hub globally, with India among the top kidney exporters. Each year more than 2,000 Indians sell their kidneys, with many of them going to foreigners.

All due to poverty. Yet the indian guy chose to start a thread on it for point scoring. I knew and many others as well that india has more of this issue due to huge population , less value for human life and poverty but i stayed silent because it is always sad to see human sufefring.but for the thread starter may be it is all about putting down other nationality

Because many Pakistanis on pdf ... Saw videos showing car owners and people of bikes putting their lives on risk for petrol.

Because dozens of vehicle owners died ... and in the videos you can see vehicles parked besides the truck.
