Reports of removal of Quaid’s pictures malicious: Babar

Updated at: 2245 PST, Saturday, June 27, 2009

ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson of the Presidency former Senator Farhatullah Babar on Saturday dismissed the report by a private channel alleging that portraits of the Quaid-e-Azam had been removed from the Presidency as not only false but also mischievous, unethical and highly unbecoming of any professional media outlet and professional journalists.

The spokesperson said that such tendentious and malicious reports should jolt professional media organizations into asking themselves if this indeed is what the freedom of media is and for which democratic political parties, civil society and media organizations made so great sacrifices
.

One wonders if they felt the same about Musharraf who openned the doors to freedom of expression in Pakistan?

The images posted here and videos in which you can clearly see photos of Zardari, ZAB, Bilawal and Benazir are probably fake too  ..If it was Musharraf many people here would be chanting Go musharraf go and rallying in streets.

Patriot

Do not stretch the truth gentle friend, the images are not fake and Musharraf would never do that - and Mushraff remains a trusted figure because above everything else, it was Pakistan, Pakistan, PAKISTAN, First!

You are better than this, Don't let political persuasion stand between your ethics and a man whose life is a poster to sacrifice in the service to Jinnah's Pakistan

Oh i know i was just telling how Musharraf haters leave no chance to bash him but justify politicans in the name of democracy.Musharraf cannot be compared to these dogs.Musharraf is a true patriot.:pakistan:

In fact one of the members here posted that photo in the "Pakistan won 2009 world cup" thread, and someone made a post noticing that Quaid e Azam's picture is missing on the wall.

Zardari is another miscreant who was not elected by the people of Pakistan nobody ever asked for this dishonorable individual to become Pres. but the shameful PPP nominated him as the head of the party, even knowing the Pakistani people oppose him.

Zadari is a traitor and he must be dealt with, take back the country. Army must remove him.

This man has not been supportive of the judicial system, he has made the most foolish blunders, he has brought no real economic reform, he is a very incompetent leader.

Quaid-e-Azam photo removed from Preisdent and PM House.

The attatched photo clearly shows the photo of Zulfiqar Bhutto, Benazir Bhutoo, Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari photos are replaced with Quaid-e-Azam photo behind Pakistan cricket team group photo with President Zardari and PM Gillani.

Quaid's portraits removed from President House

ISLAMABAD: The portraits of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah have been removed from the Prime Minister House and Presidential House, Geo News revealed Saturday.

Two days ago, President Asif Ali Zardari hosted a reception in the honour of national cricket team on winning the ICC Twenty20 World Cup title. On this occasion, the team players and officials had a group photo with President Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.

There are pictures of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal Zardari Bhutto and President Zardari without any picture of founder of Pakistan are seen hung in the backdrop of photo.

Similarly, an Internship Award ceremony was held with PM Gilani in chair on Friday. On this occasion, the stage was decorated with the pictures of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, President Zardari and PM Gilani; however, there was no picture of Quaid-e-Azam.

In a similar photograph, President Zardari was administering oath of Federal Mohtasib to Dr Shoaib Suddle; however, the backdrop flashed with a picture of Quaid-e-Awam sans any photo of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah.

Similarly, in a meeting with US delegation, no photograph of Muhammed Ali Jinnah was visible.

Under law, to hang the portrait of Quaid-e-Azam at offices of government officials, President and Prime Minister is compulsory.

Removing Quid's pictures from PM house wouldn't do any good to them, he (Quid) will always be in our hearts and his picture in our pockets...:D

Yes, but we should protest their action atleast in any form like as I am doing in this forum :)
