What's the relevance of what name such people are called? How's that connected to my point you quoted?
And no, Vedas have no term called Hindu. But there is Sindhu which is the river. Religion is an Abrahamic idea. Vedas are teaching, a collection of texts that deal from prayers to nature, from lifestyle to medicine, even War.

I am a dedicated follower of the Quaid. I was too young when Father of the Nation passed away but I remember that all of a sudden majority of the Pakistanis felt extremely sad. Our Quaid had vehemently declared that after August 14, 1947, everyone would be simply a “Pakistani” with all citizens having equal rights.

The population of Pakistan is increasing at the alarming rate of 2.7% per year. It makes no difference what religion, ethnic or racial group these belong. Pakistan will have to provide food, education, housing and jobs to all of her citizens. Therefore identifying the increasing Hindu population should not be the reason for joy or pride or achievement.

Indians also cleverly use United Punjab's Hindu population to make the claim that millions were killed. The reality is most of them already lived in East Punjab.

The accurate way would be to tally up the Hindu population in those districts forming West Punjab in the 1941 census and then compare it to the 1951 census.

I think you're confused. "Hindu" was a Muslim and later British term to refer to pagan cults in the subcontinent who were not Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or Sikh. The ones you are referring to are called Brahmans, not "Hindus".
