Poll: Would the GHQ abandon Pakistan's nuclear programme?

Would the GHQ abandon Pakistan's nuclear programme?

the Nuclear Weapons were made by the brilliant civilian scientsist and engineers. The Pak Army then, after the difficult part was done, took it under its control citing that civilians are inherently "traitors". They then pursued the scientists and engineers to keep them under house arrest, all at the behest of the USA.
What makes you think, that they wont dismantle or sell it, on the simple wish of the USA.

Even without money, they are extreme cowards, and at the slightest threat from the USA they would do anything, even without getting any money in return.

Yep remember how they forced Dr AQ Khan to admit "his guilt" on TV?

The reason the Pakistani nuclear program safety is consistently rated as very safe by the Americans has to do with the unprecedented access and tracking of Pakistani assets by the US.

bloody faujis can't tolerate intelligent people, because they themselves are duffers. But are first ones to take the pie, once it is made.

Silly question.

GHQ will not give up nuclear program due to Indian threat and factor.
they give an F about the Indian threat at this point.
If India attacks, they would rather surrender like 1971 than fight

maybe they will request the victorious army then to absorb them into their ranks.

Found this poll on Facebook.

Question reads "If America and the West asked Pakistan's military to finish its nuclear program how would the army respond"

Option 1: they will finish it (75%)
Option 2: they won't finish it (25%)

The replies show just how the mighty have fallen.

Atomic bomb is the biggest gamble they have. You think they will abandon it?

With CIA agents posing as Generals what do you expect, don't be surprised when you
learn that nukes are already compromised.

Nukes are their only deterrent against an angry West.

They would never do it.

But I also wonder if the US already has people on the ground who would take over if it ever came to actually using them.

The Fauj won’t give up nuclear weapons, not because it cares about the prosperity and strength of the country, but because nuclear weapons, and specifically the Fauj’s control over nuclear weapons, allows it to blackmail the international community into supporting the fascist Junta inside Pakistan and therefore allows the Fauj to continue its corrupt practices to enrich itself and its leadership at the expense of Pakistan.

They (the Fauj) absolutely care - keeping Indian military options limited because of the nuclear threshold allows the Fauj to continue its fascist hegemony inside Pakistan and keep minting money at the expense of the country.

Without Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, the Indians would be far more likely to carry out larger conventional military offensives against Pakistan and the international community would be far less likely to step in and pressure India against such conventional military actions.

Its all about money, resources and power for the Fauj and deterring Indian aggression with nuclear weapons is an important part of the Fauj’s calculus.

Ghulam Ishaq Khan was the unsung Hero of Pakistani nuclear program.
He stood behind it as the political backing, until the day he died.
We don't have such dedicated and focused politicians anymore.
We don't have generals like General Zia either.
So I won't be surprised if Pakistani nuclear program gets scrapped.

Also I think the entire world learnt from the experience of Libya, Iraq and Ukraine that nuclear weapons are necessary in today's world.

The Generals have been selling the idea of a destabilised nuclear Pakistan is not good for the world, hence the country deserves an IMF bailout or deserves aid. Just enough to keep Pakistan above the water albeit on the edge.

So in that context they won’t let go of the strategic weapon as yet. But knowing the boys if the price is right who knows. The junior officers might miss out on future revenue stream.

You never know.

GHQ aren't looking at this from a Pakistan perspective.

They're looking at this from their own personal wealth perspective.

The Imran Khan saga proves this.

The civilian government is more likely to sell the nuclear weapons than the military. Keep in mind, anyone who tries to negotiate to decrease the capability of the nuclear/chemical/biological weapons of Pakistan is a clear traitor, it doesn't matter what our situation is, so let not any excuse to deceive you. I would say its the biggest achievement after the creation of Pakistan. We should be testing ICBM, building nuclear submarines, long range nuclear cruise missiles, MIRV missiles, working to go space in order to increase our capability. The enemies must know we will destroy anyone who dares to look at Pakistan with the evil eye.

Regarding traitor generals, the MI and ISI job is to identify and eliminate exactly these type of people, if people say MI and ISI are compromised then let's be very clear, its already too late.
