Police seek ban on PUBG in Pakistan after suicide incidents

Maybe if parents started regimenting their kids play time at a young age this wouldn't happen. You let them play constantly and they get addicted and act irrationally when their addiction is taking away.

It’s entirely the parents fault. My cousin just bought his 7 year old a smart phone a week ago. I yelled at him and told him it’s going to ruin the child.

here we are a week later and the kids eyes are all blackened from using his phone all night when his parents go to bed.

That is how kids start watching pornographic films, and eventually turn out mentally ill and perverted.

I mean, yeah young kids below 13 should not play those games I agree.

I think their parents took their phones which made them have gaming withdrawal.
I understand that pretty well as I have a younger brother who plays a lot. Internet and Phones are no longer a teen thing, children well below 13 use it and its a reality. Outright not allowing will have very detrimental effects. Better to help them to use the tech better and how to deal with bullies.

And I am pretty good at the game. 4 k/d player. Its tough if you are noob.

my cousin is pressurized by our materialistic society to buy the phone for his kid, so his status is elevated among other kids. But he hasn’t forseen the damage it will do long term. 14 or 15 is a good age to get a kid a phone and that too a basic one, not a smart phone.

Well letting them play constantly while limiting their educational growth is not a good thing. I watched TV when I was young now 3 year olds are learning to use phones and do who knows what on them. If using it for limited time, and monitoring exactly what the kids are doing it shouldn't be a problem but many parents don't do this whatsoever which leads to them watching **** at a young age.

I'm good at PUBG as well but play Payload mode which is much harder than regular PUBG.

There needs to be a balance between monitoring and freedom. Too much of either is harmful. But I think a positive environment about using technology will go a long way than being conservative. Peer influence is immense at this age.

I dont like payload. Too much unconventional weapons. They should remove the normal guns and only use payload guns. Did you try the hardcore mode. Now that is tough. Let me in you on a secret for which I signed NDA with Tencent. I am on their beta testing.

I have a computer for playing realistic PUBG, but I'm usually on the go without the time to play hardcore PUBG.

you play this game and close this thread if like this game instead of playing on both sides of wicket
I dont play this game or any online game (just not my interest) but I have been a gamer since I was 4
I am not against kids playing videogames however parents should watch what kinds of games their kids
Negligence on behalf of parents shouldnt be used to justify a blanket ban

Yep. Type of game is what matters. Sonic the Hedgehog was my addiction at age 8/9. I turned out fine.

Minecraft and such games are great.

My litmus test is - can I happily sit and watch them play such and such a game on the main living room tv? If so, it's probably okay for them.

Basically a more robust rating system is needed and parents need to be educated about it.

Having rampant piracy in Pakistan does not help.

We should bring in more family friendly brands like Nintendo to Pakistan, officially.

A Chinese type of media censorship group is needed to control violent and sexual content of movies, dramas, and games. Indian content in all forms should be banned and strict punishments enforced.

We need to restrict piracy too and crack down on these stores which sell pirated products.

It will greatly help our economy to be able to tax and control such media.
